Mackie - Moving and Storage

Choose another moving company - there are a multitude of better providers available. Sales and management are completely inept. Final charges came in at almost twice the quoted price. Delivery truck broke down and was forced to pay for accommodation, food, etc. while waiting for our things to arrive from another city. The whole experience was completely ridiculous. Huge missed opportunity for them as well as I will be relocating again in December and was hoping to use the same company. Buyer beware...

Fantastic service! Mike was great. Brendan and Sasha did an excellent job moving everything. They were helpful, friendly, patient and efficient.

Unfortunately, moving with Mackie was the worst moving decision our family has made in the last decade (and this was our 7th move in the last 10 years). We were promised a 5-man crew due to the size of our move, and we received a 3-man crew on loading day and a 4-man crew on unloading day. To make things worse, a lot of our furniture was damaged in the move. I have sent three separate emails in the past three weeks to the operations manager, left a message with someone for her to call me last week, and now her voicemail inbox is full. This level of customer service is a complete disgrace. In a previous move, we used AMJ Campbell - I would highly recommend them to anyone reading this. Stay away from Mackie in Calgary.

We used Mackie Moving (via King’s Transfer) in February for 2 moves. We were repatriating from overseas. At the front end of the move the communication was terrible. Our contact Ashley did not return calls or emails promptly. When our air shipment arrived Ashley made an error on the form and we had to chase around to have it fixed and then clear customs. She made the same mistake on our sea shipment causing an extra months delay due to Christmas holidays. It was very frustrating dealing with her. Thankfully our actual movers were fantastic! Spencer, Stan, and team did a great job both times and were very pleasant to deal with. I give a 4 rating because of them. Spencer also did some follow up work for us to help us get a damaged table repaired.

Dealing with Mike was an absolute breeze and pleasure. He is very polite, quick to respond to calls/text and very knowledgeable about his job and extremely professional. Thank you for providing such great service! Moving is stressful but Mike took the stress out of it. I highly recommend Mackie Moving and Storage.

The best shipping company I've ever used! And I've used a handful. Every move has some bumps. But when is comes to shipping your bike, I learned the hard way. THEN I was recommended the Mackie group. Very happy thus far;)

I moved across Canada and chose Mackie because they seemed to have more experience and were offering a cheaper rate than their competitor. Les was super friendly, knowledgeable and even offered some tips on finding an appropriate storage locker at my destination that would accommodate the large moving van. We encountered some difficulties at the other end because the driveway to the storage facility was blocked by a truck, and Les phoned me before I could phone him! We worked it out in the end and I am very appreciative of his help.

We moved across country west to east coast and they were so helpful and organized! We were not ready when they arrived but they helped us to make sure we packed everything. They disassembled the furniturend organized all the small parts with labels. They inventoried it all. They made sure the fragile items were handled with care and wrapped our furniture. They arrived within a week and did an amazing manuver into our storage area and unloaded carefully making sure light boxes were on top of heavy. Rob and Mike are friendly and hospitable. I appreciate the hard work they did making our big move easy. Thank you!

Al text me every step when he was behind I was greatly appreciate of the updates. He brought my motorcycle from Ontario to B.C right to the culter sack. Then rolled the bike were I wanted it in the driveway. So thank you Al for your great service and prompt texting me. A big thank you also to Joe to the bike company who put me on to this company. Also thanks Mackie transport, Al is a great driver. The way he back that big rig. God bless you all for bringing the bike such a distance at a great price. And in perfect condition.

I hired this company to ship a motorcycle from Naples, FL to Calgary, Ab. The bike arrived with no key, I emailed both the seller and the company that did the inspection before it was shipped, both confirmed the key was with the bike. When it was dropped off, they said contact the Calgary office. I left three voicemails with Lisa, no reply. Another employee, Sean directed me to Darlene (he said she was a supervisor) I left two voicemails, no call back. This cost me $200 as I now have to install a new ignition. I am glad it wasn’t worse as this company is very unprofessional and non responsive. If you have a choice go elsewhere.
