HooDoo Trail
Quick 25 min hike up to the top of the viewpoint with the hoodoos. It's pretty much all uphill on the way up and the opposite on the way down, but it's all worth it with the reward being a beautiful view of the valley. The trail is well kept with some signage and fun facts along the way. If you do bring kids to the top, be careful of the edges and keep them close. ;)

Free! Need I say more? The best thing in Fairmont -- maybe. But definitely worth the effort! The hike is a gentle grade uphill, and might be discouraging to some, but keep going it is all downhill on the way back. The vistas along the way are breath taking and really help you understand the lay of the land. Don't forget to take some water.

Nice trail with great views of the valley & tops of the HooDoos. Pretty icy all the way up but ok at the top. Micro spikes made it very doable in Jan.

Wide and easy to traverse trail, though the trip there is mostly uphill. (I was glad I brought my hiking poles.) Make sure to leave plenty of time at the top to explore the magical hoodoos. Lots of hawks, ravens and a bald eagle or two playing in the wind currents on top, and passed several grouse on the way back down.

I googled this trail. Came to the beginning of the trail and there is a sign that says, Private Propery".I was a bit confused but continued on. Very nice hike. A bench half way through."

HooDoo Trail
Great hiking trail with lots of good viewing points of the Columbia river! It was a little smokey when we went but the views were still breath taking. The trail is pretty easy in terms of hikability, it’s just uphill most of the time with paths of sand/dirt and stones.

This is a easy to moderate hike with amazing views. It’s steep at the beginning and levels off to beautiful views of the valley. The hike should take around an hour (including photos)

Easy hike to do as a family or even just for some alone time. Starts off a little steep but the incline is worth it to see the views at the end of trail. You will be able to look out and see views for miles. You won’t be disappointed with doing this little hike. Will take about 45mins, 3.2km

The trail seems well maintained, with opportunities to stop in the shade along the way. The view from the top is nice overlooking the lake. Views of the HooDoos are probably better from below.

HooDoo Trail
This is an easy trail, walkable for almost anyone that is able. There are a few spots that may be fairly steep for the elderly hikers, but otherwise very easy and beautiful.The views at the top are gorgeous and well worth the fun. What a fantastic way to spend an hour or two. Make sure to bring snacks and water if you need as there are no amenities on this hike as with other hikes.Enjoy this beautiful trail!
