Port Maitland Public Beach
Nothing public about it unless you came here to fish. Nothing but a concrete pier and porta-poties. All the same beach was private. There were designs everywhere that said no trespassing. There is a playground but a metal wall preventing you from getting to the water.

Good place to fish for perch. Meet new people. Playground for children. Have a picnic, first of the year. Walk on the pier. Enjoy the outdoors.

Went later on in the day..was a few fishermen on the dock but other than that..the beach only had a few people there at around 6-7pm. Great beach and water was not too cold on the Civic holiday long weekend

This beach was disgusting! Smelled gross, water full of algae, sand full of zebra mussels, dead fish everywhere, no trespassing signs all over the place. I can see why people spend their time at the river instead of the lake. On the plus side, easy access from the road, not much actual trash, and the port-a-potty was regularly serviced and had toilet paper.

Full of rude motorcyclers (hundreds of) and there was a group distributing cremation ashes off the pier. Very popular with fisherfolk too
