I have driven past Paron Cheese many times and finally stopped to check it out - I am so glad I did! This is a family run cheese business that has been around for decades. They specialize in Montasio cheese, an Italian style cheese which you can purchase fresh (semi hard), medium, or old (very hard) and is naturally low in lactose. We fell in love with the 3 month aged Montasio. The owner was extremely helpful, sharing the history of the business, giving us samples and recommendations. They are under renovation and the store is not fancy, but don’t let that deter you from visiting - it’s worth it! Note: CASH ONLY.

The cheese was amazing, but limited selection and cash only... which is more than a little outdated in a day and age where one can use tap with your cell phone, or even buy merch from a vendor in a stall using plastic.

The curbside pick up was goofy. Some people are really way too far into this new mask and virus thing. Oh well. I got my overpriced tiny chunk of 3 year old white cheddar for 10 bucks. tasty enough.

Friendly service and quality cheese, fresh montasio that taste as montasio should taste, very refreshing for a change, hard to find these days. The goat cheese is also of good quality, I will definitely return and buy cheese here as I pass through this area. Be certain to make sure you are at the Paron outlet in the back and not next door at the other place, the cheese is much better quality here. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that they are cash only.

This is probably the last of the Italian style, family run cheese shops in Canada. They make some of the best, flavorful cheese around.I come up once a year and buy two wheels so that I can age them myself, however you can buy 12 month old cheese which is absolutely mouth watering.Forget the supermarket brand processed cheese, go to Paron to find out what real cheese tastes like!!
