Shoppers Drug Mart

I usually stop at Shoppers Drug Mart on the way to the gym in the morning. The staff are friendly including some of the security guards. However, I am appalled by how expensive everything is there. I ran out of soap so this morning I ran in and had to settle for a bottle of Nivea for $8. I took a closer look including the men's selection and the prices were the same. Usually women's are higher in price. When I got home I looked up Superstore and the price for the same product was half the price. If I could have waited I would have. With the cost of living crisis happening, I am struggling to keep up and I feel that Shoppers Drug Mart is taking advantage of consumers by overcharging for basic necessities. I do understand that there are extra costs with transport etc but it is not an excuse to ignore the reality that many people are struggling financially.

Pharmacy team is incredibly condescending and rude - unless you have no other pharmacy readily accessible to you I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.I just had a member of the pharmacy team hang up on me mid sentence, when I phoned back and pointed out the behaviour they mocked me, continued to be unhelpful. Their excuse for their condescending tone was that they have had a busy day". I pointed out that I too work in healthcare

Normally I never have any problems here but this one lady pharmacist is delaying my medication on purpose, I was told that yesterday I can get my prescription at 1pm asked if it could possibly be sooner as I need to go to work so she said 1230, so I come back only part of it is there and said it has to out sourced from another place it will be there at 3, at that time I was speaking with a different first Nations worker there and as she told me 3 the original lady I spoke to came and said not until tomorrow, so tomorrow is here and now they say nothing is in. So I called the other place on hillside who they outsourced from, and they said they had it yesterday and sent it yesterday. What is wrong with this lady?

I always have a good experience with shoppers, but not today. I was browsing the beauty section and tried on the testers. The first lady was really kind and she helped me when I needed.. Then second was really rude, and I don't know she is a racist or not cuz she wasn't picky with other customers. She came to me and asked me WHY i don't need her assistance? And she also didn't allow me to carry the shopping basket in the shoppers. She also interrupted me when I tell her why I didn't need her assistance. First,I know what I am looking for, ok? Not everyone like or need your help every single second in a store. First lady already came in and helped me. So I didn't need a second person to help me. Second, I was well-dressed and still hold a polite attitude as I always do. I didn't show any unpleasant to the second lady even she was rude to me and thought I was a theif. I still bought the item I need at the moment. Well, this is the worst experience I have ever had with shoppers.

Only giving 2 stars because they have good opening hours and good deals sometimes. However, one of their pharmacist is unwelcoming to say the least. I really want to give him the benefit of the doubt but he makes every customer feel like a nuisance.

THE worst pharmacy in Victoria and that I’ve ever been to. The store itself is fine but the pharmacy staff, most particularly the head pharmacist are rude as hell and would rather stand around talking than serve customers.

I was in the lane to pick up a prescription yesterday at around 11 am yesterday. There was no one in front of me. The lady pharmacist looked up and asked if I needed help and then asked if I was there to pick up a prescription. Ummm did she think I was just standing there for fun? This is the second time a pharmacist was rude to me, the first one was a male pharmacist (or maybe pharmacy assistant) who didn’t seem to know that pharmacists in BC can now renew prescriptions for up to two years and that pharmacists can also give emergency refills.

Sam the pharmacist and his assistants were ever so helpful. The pharmacist took the time to listen to my needs and made the proper recommendations with confidence.I am currently visiting from out of province, and did not know what to do. I am so glad I was able to stop by to get personalized service.Thank you for helping me!!

INCOMPETENT PHARMACY AFTER 5pm , had a prescription transferred at 6:50pm went there at 7:20 pm No they told me they didn’t receive it. Again called back close to 8pm and Nope still they told me they didn’t get it. Which is a lie it doesn’t take over an hour to get a fax from another ph

Effing gong show. I needed to pick up milk and yoghurt tonight - so bussed into town to grab it at Shoppers. This would knock one errand off tomorrow's list. I found a long line up at the ONE and only cash till. The inept cashier was fussing with something under the counter - and then said his till wasn't working - sending the customer ahead of me to the self checkout. I was paying with cash - so asked if I could pay at the pharmacy till upstairs. Nope - it was closed - so this gong show of a store had NO cash till available for people buying prescriptions (which might be a medical necessity) or picking up milk, or making any purchase. They had NO backup - had removed the other front counter till. So when the ONE and ONLY cash till stopped working - the customers are sol. Even if they needed their heart medication. This store is a corrupt and dysfunctional gong show.
