Olympic Oval

Despite the public skating starting later than the website indicated, we still had a good time. We caught the end of some actual races and enjoyed the public skate. The ice condition was amazing and large enough where you didn't feel squished despite a large amount of people.$18.50 for a family of 4 makes for a reasonable outing.

Lots to do for the family at the Olympic oval! Very good equipment rentals facility. Equipment is in good shape. Also great lesson programs. Highly recommend for any family looking to get active!

Was here for driven car show. It was a nice facility would definitely come again.

Olympic oval is a great place for pics. Once a place for Winter Olympics stands here with majestic rings. Part of the whistler village stroll . Enjoyed this beautiful village and had a night stay booked in the ski resorts

We LOVE the oval. We spent a weekend here for a kids' speed skating event. The facility is massive and allows our family to both easily access seated viewing areas as well as open space for our youngest to run around in between races. There are many banners, posters, and memorabilia across the oval showcasing the history and successes of the speed skating program. Our kids enjoyed looking at the pictures of past Olympic championships and champions and hearing their stories.We recommend parking in lot 9 for easiest access to the oval. It is small so if you want this outdoor lot you need to arrive early or be lucky. Otherwise, lot 10 is a block and half walk from the entrance.Regarding accessibility:The bathrooms are utilitarian, and you need to look for signage for change tables (on the ice level one side has them and the other doesn't). I didn't notice if male facilities also had change tables. Further, while I did notice accessible ticket lines, the elevator to different levels was not obvious.

I play rec hockey here. Parking costs money despite showing up after 9pm when campus is dead. The rink is aggressively hot which leads to absolutely awful ice conditions on the hockey rink. They got not get close to the boards with the Zamboni and the ice is VERY bad here, be very careful skating in the corners. Worse ice than most out door rinks in the city. Awful.

Great place! Amazing to see how well it is maintained over the years and still actively in use. People working there love skating and do the best they can.It's also a great value that the oval is connected to rest of the sports facilities and the food hall.

You can't help but love it. Great service, polite friendly staff, and a very good skating rink! It has support holds for new skaters a viewing space for friends and family to watch.

Great place for public skating Friday night from 6:00 til 10, $4.75 for a senior. Ice was cut up but long distance per lap and separate lanes for different ability levels make for an enjoyable skating experience. Parking is pricey, but train stops at U of C and it's a short walk to the Oval.
