Halifax Harbour Tours

This tour was one of the top highlights of our trip to Halifax. For only $40 per person you enjoy a leisurely float around the harbour for 1 hr with Captain Colin. We were blessed with a warm and wind-free day on the water with a great group. The boat is small so you'll only share the ride with 8 other people, the captain, and the captains helper. The boat is also fully electric so you don't hear any engine noises and you aren't tearing through the water. It's extremely peaceful and pleasant. Captain Colin is very knowledgable about the harbour and is constantly pointing out landmarks and tid-bits for your entertainment. I would definitely recommend this tour, particularly as an alternative to a harbour hopper which is crowded, noisy, and more expensive. You'll probably pass one on the water and thank yourself for making the right decision.

Great tour charming vessel with loads of character Quiet and smooth ride. Very scenic. Great interactive and intimate conversation with lots of key details from our guide. This is not a loud speaker barking fact tour. It's more like your friends took you out and gave you the down low on the area. Absolutely lovely time!

What an absolutely phenomenal experience this tour was. This is not one of your traditional type of tour with a tour guide that talks non-stop about facts. It was more like sitting at a Nova Scotian for kitchen table" as our host put it. Which for the uninformed is more like an informal social setting. Booked this tour at the last minute while our cruise ship was docked in Halifax. The quiet, electric boat only holds eight passengers which lends to a good personal experience. The tour lasts about an hour and Captain Collin and tour guide Kara made the tour fun for everyone. Kara explained about the interesting history of Halifax and was quite passionate about her city. Highly recommend this boat tour while you are in Halifax.

We enjoyed a late afternoon harbour cruise on August 24, 2022 while visiting Halifax for a few days. The boat was beautiful, in pristine condition, and very comfortable. The harbour was extremely calm which made for a very pleasurable cruise, with Curtis at the helm. Captain Collin & Curtis were very knowledgeable about the city, points on the harbour pier, and the harbour itself. They shared some great stories, too! Very low key, and relaxing, while taking in the sites and sounds. I lived in Halifax 35 while attending Dalhousie University, and have visited frequently over the yearsThe trip with 5 other guests and the tour guide and captain allowed me to see Dartmouth and Halifax in a new lightThe boat is so quiet we can hear the water lapping, the seagulls calling, and each other speakingThe tour is informal, with snippets about what we were seeing and some Nova Scotia history. Mainly we just chatted as we glided along in this little boat full of its own history (I'll let the captain tell you about that)It felt like a day out on the water with friends. I will certainly do this again, bring friends and family, because I know each trip will be different

We had a beautiful experience with Halifax Harbour Tours. The tour guides are very lovely people and were very informative. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Halifax.

My best friend and I went on this tour on May 24, 2022, and it was AMAZING.We were originally scheduled for May 23, 2022, but due to the strong winds they called us immediately and rescheduled us for the next day.Captain Collin is so nice and friendly and the tour is very informative. He also made the boat and it’s electric so it’s very quiet and you’re able to enjoy the water and the tour itself.In regards to the tour, it’s very informative. You learn lots about Halifax’s history in regards to the explosion, the citadel, and so much more. We also were given amazing recommendations on where to go get dinners. Absolutely one of the best tours I’ve been on.The views alone are absolutely amazing. 10/10 would recommend, it’s worth every penny! One day when I’m back in Halifax, I would go again.
