South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre

Our first time here. A very nice hotel with parking out front. The room was very clean. Staff were very friendly. There are horses, goats, and Llamas in fenced areas. It is early in the season, and the restaurant is not open. There are plenty of options in Kamloops. They also have bicycles available to ride.

Rustic feel, old fashioned, fantastic views, country club type of atmosphere. The floor coverings between floors are different (top floor has carpet, bottom floor has wood floorboards). There's no microwave or fridge in the rooms, and there's also no elevator to get between floors. Madisens is the restaurant on the premises, and from what I've understood it's not open on a regular basis. The place seems to be short staffed also.

I didn’t think I was going to like this place when I saw it was on our group’s itinerary but I have to say I totally changed my mind once I got here. The rooms are quaint and homey. They are well appointed and “homelike.” We were on the first floor and had a gorgeous patio right outside our door with views of the river and the mountains. The flatscreen tv is wall mounted. The bathroom has nice toiletries. Great that there’s AC because we’ve stayed at several places in this part of Canada that simply didn’t have it. The internet was speedy fast. It’s kind of out of the way and nothing else really around, but if it’s peace and quiet and fresh air you want then this is the place. Enjoy a stroll around the grounds. Visit the livestock and it’ll invigorate you. The only thing lacking was a mini fridge in the room for snacks alas. Otherwise it’d be a 5….

Came here and stayed as part of a wedding. Staff were very nice and went above and beyond, even with last minute meal accommodations. I will say some of the doors in this place are super heavy. Specifically the door at the manor house is very heavy and spring loaded so it tries to grab you as you go through it and I almost pinched a finger a few times. Rooms were clean and front desk dog was so cute

Loved the hotel and the location. It was so peaceful and gorgeous scenery. Loved walking around and hanging with the goats, alpacas and horse. The restaurant could be better. The staff were all lovely but the feed was meh.

The location is stunning and peaceful. The Kentucky room is 5 stars. The service was excellent

The first time I stayed many years ago it was a great trip. This time we were very disappointed with the stay.The restaurant, bar and hot tub were all closed. There was only the gold course next door as an alternative.With so many features missing I would have liked to have been told with enough notice to cancel or have been given a discount. Nothing was offered.The location and rooms are nice pike last time, but the management need to get it back to fully operational to keep charging the rates they do.

Everything would have been nice if we would not have been charged over 300$ for this room (a mistake in my booking). The restaurant is closed with very little alternative. The view on the river is beautiful, but note the noisy highway and two train tracks on the other side. Room was nice and clean with a noisy A\C and no fridge. To top up the experience, they mowed the lawn in front of the windows before 9am and the breakfast consisted of a paper bag with a COSCO cereal bar, a small fruit salad for kids and couple small items from the same origin. It would have been worth the money for $120. For 323 it was an absolute ripoff.

We came in on our way to Vancouver and it was honestly so lovely. The room was so clean and spacious. We got a mountain view room which seemed to be the superior choice. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Our stay was so quiet. Beds are firm but comfortable. The Restaurant reopened the day before which was an excellent surprise. Food was decent, wines were great. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
