Great experience. Peter is very knowledgeable about horses. It might be not your regular experience on horseback riding, but that's why you should go here. They will teach you how to control the horse, most places do not do this. These horses are great, each with a unique personality that you get to know. I would suggest following the instructions that you are given and you will have the best experience. This is not just a trail ride but a full lesson on horseback riding.

A most enjoyable experience with Okanagan Stables - my 83-year old father and I chose the Classic Ride as we had not been on horses for a number of years. Peter is an excellent teacher and had us comfortable on the horses in no time. It was a perfect choice for what we were looking for. Beautiful horses and scenic terrain.

Loved our trail riding experience here, Peter's approach to couple some instruction and information with the trail ride means you can get so much more out of it and come away with both the satisfaction of having gained some skills and knowledge and the experience of riding in the beautiful countryside and taking in the lake views. A great service that we thoroughly recommend.

I took my 12 year old granddaughter for the ride and swim. It was a marvelous experience from start to finish! Peter is extremely wonderful with horses and was with us, as well. I found him engaging and hilarious - crusty and kind. Neither of us are experienced riders and obviously I am going to be concerned for my granddaughter's well being, but I did not need to be. Peter and his team took the best care of us and I have never been so comfortable on a horse. SO MUCH GRATITUDE!!

Our experience here was absolutely amazing, the horses are very happy and healthy, plus very full of personality and character! The views were amazing and Peter is very willing to teach thoroughly. He is very good with his horses and has the perfect humour to keep things light if it is your first time riding. I have already recommended a friend here on his travels to BC and will continue to recommend it! Definitely going back when we are in the area again!

spent a great summer afternoon at the stables with my partner. the introduction at the farm made us grow to care for the horses and the ride itself was comfortable and beautiful. peter and his team are all super chill and welcoming. would absolutely come back again for the great experience and atmosphere. thanks guys!

Okanagan Stables owner, Peter obviously loves his horses, and wants all his patrons to have a safe and enjoyable horseback riding experience. His horses are well trained, in beautiful condition, and sensitive to the rider. All the staff were so friendly, and willing to teach skills. If you want a safe, and incredibly scenic ride, I would highly recommend Okanagan Stables. I’m looking forward to visiting again. and next time I want to do a morning Ride & Swim with the horses. I can’t think of a more enjoyable activity!

We had an amazing time with Peter and Elliot. Okanagan Stables isn't a typical trail ride outfit. They give you the time and put in the effort to help you connect with the horses and allow you the freedom to really ride them within your ability.Okanagan Stables is great and I'd highly recommend them to new and experienced riders alike. Great fun!

Our 16 year old student from Japan had a 90+ min intro lesson and ride on Sunday - it was fantastic and one of the most exciting things she's ever done! It was also very safe, with Elliot and owner Peter giving her a very thorough intro and lesson and Elliot leading her on the trail ride. I really appreciated that, as it was her first time even near a horse. I highly recommend Okanagan Stables!

Thoroughly impressed with the training of the horses at Okanagan Stables. They are quiet and incredibly well trained, and well kept. I'm an experienced rider but went with my mom and aunt who are beginners. We were given a thorough understanding of the basics and a walk through and then brought through a beautiful loop of the trail. Peter kept us laughing the whole time and we appreciated how detailed he was with his instructions.
