I live not far so it a wonder place to get clarity

Warning re local roofing company. I woke up a couple of days ago to the sound of roofers going at it. To my surprise, the roofers, Toronto Roofing Industries, were on my neighbour's roof and to my dismay, also tromping through my gardens, with layers of old shingles covering a large portion of the beds along the property line. Neither the neighbour nor the roofers had warned us of this work, or even asked permission to set up their ladders on our property. They just did it. And they destroyed about $1,000 of bulbs and perennials. If I had known the crew was coming, I could have easily protected the flower beds. When I saw the damage and to prevent even more, I demanded that they remove the ladder and materials from my yard. Eventually the owner of Toronto Roofing Industries, Tim Mulroy, convinced me to allow them access in order to finish their work, in return for which he would make things right" for the damage. Sadly

I had a leak, which was repaired" by Toronto Roofing Industries. After their work a new leak appeared in a different location at the edge of their repair. After many calls/emails we had the owner over who said I should slap tar on it. No offer to do it themselves or guarantee their work by making a proper repair. During the sales process they said their guarantee was five years. However they quoted me $300 for them to come over and tar the offending spot. That is not a proper repair. And now

Very rude driver

I was so impressed when the guys working in the neighbourhood took the time to move out of sight of my grandchild playing in the street before lighting up their cigarettes. I thought this was a very thoughtful act. Going above and beyond. Kudos

We used Toronto Roofing Industries a few years ago when we needed to replace our sloped roof. Their quote was reasonable and the staff professional and attentive - we had a good experience. Just recently, we had a ceiling leak in a part of the house near a skylight (work done by another contractor) on a weekend. I called them Monday morning, they were there inspecting before noon, and the work was done before the end of the day. They were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. Can't do better than that.

Toronto Roofing came very highly recommended to me. My first experience with their salesman was very positive, and the price they quoted for my roof was very competitive. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience began to go downhill. The crew who arrived were loud, throwing things everywhere on site and I had to ask them a number of times to remove their items from my neighbours front lawn. When I returned home to their work, they'd made a terrible mess dropping the old singles down the side of the house. There were remains of the job and dirt everywhere. The supervisor came and was not happy with the work either. He promised to make everything perfect. They did clean our siding, and it was spotless. However I spent a good deal of time sweeping up dirt from their work and found a number of nails on the floor and single cuttings. Far from spotless. I provided the office with my thoughts, and didn't hear from them until I had another concern. Everyone was very nice apologizing, however, I would have liked to see more promises kept for a substantial and important investment like one's roof to their house!

Great company. Great work. Tim and his team did a tremendous job. They are thorough and tidy. Many thanks to Tim for everything he did! I would recommend them to anyone that needs a best in class roof.
