Bronte Creek Provincial Park
In the heart of the suburbs this park has many trails to choose from and the Half Moon Trail is my favourite, especially in the spring. So many native Ontario plants hiding in the underbrush and this last visit a Bald Eagle greeted us and I've now seen the most mature Jack-in-the-pulpit yet! When the kids were smaller the play barn was high on our visits and I love going on a lunch picnic with my husband.

great park for a walk with the family. there are outdoor and indoor places for picnics and birthday celebrations. walking trails through the forest. a variety of birds that you can feed from your hand. there is a farm in 1886 and it is alive. you can feed rabbits, goats, pigs. and enjoy the space. nearby is an outdoor swimming pool for people, where you can enjoy clean water in the fresh air. There is a paid, large parking lot.

Although the actual farm has been left to die in regards to an actual working one (which obviously it was), there's so much to do in any season but because of it's size you might have to hunt to find it. Perfect place for a BBQ picnic.

I have been going to Bronte Creek/Petro Canada park for the past 25 years. It is just like day one to me. Love the surroundings the look and nature. Great place to teach young ones how to fish. Good luck.

A great park for riding bikes, hiking, picnics, dog walking and group BBQs.There's a barn with sheep and cows, and an old heritage house where they do presentations. There's camping on the other sites of this creek, however, no bridge connects the two parts so you have to go out of your way to get there.

TICK alert! Be aware and check yourself and your gear regularly. There were no posters alerting campers but after we found ticks on ourselves twice, we googled it and ticks are known to be in the area. Five stars if not for the ticks and the lack of info.Gorgeous park with spacious and well-laid out sites. Bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Not too many mosquitoes. The bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned for several days but they weren't filthy.

Great park with lots of things to do with families, friends, or on your own during all seasons. Our family has used it for BBQs, tossing the frisbee, washer toss, walks, bike rides and tobogganing. One of my favourite things to do is seeing deer during my bike rides. I took this picture June 22.

Went here on Sun. Oct. 9. A reservation is recommended, which can be booked through the Ontario provincial parks website. It takes bookings on the day of. If you have an Ontario parks pass then you don’t need to pay for parking (you can borrow one from the Hamilton Public Library for 1 week). Otherwise, it’s about $18 incl. tax for parking. There was plenty of parking in parking lot A, which is close to a playground and a covered picnic shelter. There were some picnic tables and lots of space for families to gather. We hiked the Lookout Ravine Trail, which had some lookouts to some really beautiful foliage. Fairly flat terrain of packed dirt. After that we walked towards the Spruce Lane Farmhouse which had some bales of hay and a tractor, which some kids were playing on. The washrooms were nearby and well-maintained.Some of the paths closer to parking lots F and D were paved. There were quite a few intersections around the south portion of the park so it’s easy to go the wrong way. I recommend having Google maps open if you want to head back to your car.Overall, even though it was cloudy, I had a lovely hike and would recommend this park!
