Awesome atmosphere and service with the entire vibe being very home-y and social. Food quality was also really good, but it is a little on the steep side. There are quite a few higher priced items which I didn't actually try, but from the items we did, everything was tasty and fresh.Some callouts would be...- Yakioni with Butter+Soy sauce: Very flavorful with an amazing crispy rice outside texture, the favorite parts of any hot stone pot rice bowl!- Beef Tongue: Probably not for everyone just from reading the name, but this was probably one of the more flavorful yakitori items I had.- Chicken Gizzard: Amazing chewing/crunchy" texture. Not really finding the right word to describe it

Very fun crew, they love what they do and it shows. Authentic Binchotan charcoals grilling succulent pieces of morsels, salads, harder to find seafood items like monkfish liver... All very good. Thanks, Zakkushi folks!

This is an amazing Yakitori place you should try. The skewers were grilled nicely and Yakitori with salt and pepper is our favorite favor. Teriyaki favor is not bad, but I wish it would be slightly sweeter and less salty. If you’re a hardcore fan for Japanese Yakitori, you have to try chicken skins, gizzards, livers and hearts. The garlic stem wrapped with sliced pork is delicious, pork belly and chicken wings are yummy. Any skewers with sticky rice and cheese you shouldn’t miss. The beef here is not bad, but they are not as good compared to chicken or pork skewers. We also ordered some seafoods - I would order the calamari and shishsmo again, but probably will pass the scallops. We ordered the Dewazakura Sake and we personally think it’s better than Dassai 45 (daily special, not on the menu). We love Dassai 23, but it’s not available here. Too bad that our phones ran out of batteries, so not able to take photos of our delicious food.Advanced reservation is HIGHLY recommended. We put down our name before 6pm, and didn’t get seated until 7pm. There is a 2-hour dining time limit, but the foods were served in a fairly quick fashion.

Big fan of zakkushi on main. Expected nothing less at denman location but all the skewers were not as good. Wasn't seasoned well and couldn't taste the smokiness. They were served cold except the tomatoes. Might have been better if they were served warm. Not sure how they manage to serve them cold when I see the chefs cooking right in front of me. Server was friendly.

Loved the two grape flavored drinks we got here. Everything was delicious. Small portions but there is a variety of things you can try! The duck and the takoyaki is a must try. As well as the beef tongues on the skewer. If you're a big eater like me be ready to dish out the money!

Fun spot. Everyone arriving or leaving is addressed by the whole staff. The server was sweet but she struggled to understand English so I we had some menu items arrive we didn't order and we struggled to get the wine we wanted. Still, food eas great and fun, unusualy options. We'll go back!

Everything is fresh, yummy, and cheap.Must try every time when I visit Vancouver.Yellowtail sashimi, beef tongue,shrimp, scallops, and ice cream are tasty.
