Academy for Mathematics & English, Glen Abbey

We were first pretty skeptical about the program but decided to try a group of sessions. After a few months, my son read a passage from a book and I was blown away. There was a definite difference in my sons ability to read. His grandmother also commented on how much more he was able to read. This program is definitely worth it! The tutors are fantastic and my son looks forward to going for his sessions. Fantastic place and very professional! We are so glad we gave it a try!!!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Academy for Mathematics and English. The instructors were knowledgeable and passionate about their subject matter, and the classes were engaging and informative. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the staff was always available to answer questions and provide assistance. I highly recommend the Academy for Mathematics and English to anyone looking to improve their skills in these areas.

We have been with the Academy for over a year and would have continued if it weren’t for us moving away. They have been instrumental in taking a 4th grader who “hated” math, and turning it around to where my son is now a confident math lover that challenges himself further. They have been incredibly accommodating and have worked on specific needs and reinforcement of concepts that are often not done in the public school system. What a blast to be part of this wonderful group of teachers and administrators who truly dedicate their time to bettering students on their academic path. Our family had a very good experience with this Academy. Our son was facing challenges with his reading and writing skills since he started Grade 1 in a virtual setting last year due to Covid. We then decided to go with the Academy's Glen Abbey center to help him improve and we saw a positive difference within a few months! He now reads and writes with confidence. We would highly recommend this location hands down.

Highly recommend!! The results speak for themselves. My daughter has been with the academy for mathematics and English for both grade 11 functions and grade 12 math. She has struggled with Math her whole life and and even with her previous peer tutor her math grades was still in the 60’s. We had her tutoring twice a week and the results started to show immediately. Her marks are now in the mid 80’s. The management is also amazing. My daughter has a busy sports schedule and they were not only easy to reach, and quick to respond but so accommodating in rearranging the tutoring sessions to fit our schedule when needed. We can’t thanks the staff enough.

My daughter completed the super readers program. She looked forward to going to tutoring and her reading improved greatly! The staff was professional, friendly and organized. I would highly recommend.

Dave, Argin and their team of instructors are a very attentive, knowledgeable, and supportive group. We enrolled my son (grade 12) to receive Calculus tutoring, and subsequently for some English sessions. Both tutors with whom he worked were patient, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and supportive. Their knowledge is deep and up to date based on the grade-level they support, and this was most helpful in ensuring that the dialogue and guidance was relevant for our son. Throughout our experience, Dave has been incredibly responsive and supportive with our inquiries, and provided high-quality recommendations and options to help our son. I highly recommend the Academy for kids of any age, our experience has been extremely positive!

Based on my experience with my 2 kids over last 5 months or so, I definitely recommend this center.We had few options closer to my home. But we chose this center (although it was like a good 10 min drive). In the beginning, we were not too sure but after meeting with Dave (the owner of the center) we felt much better and confident, besides other things he also explained how he hires his instructors... for us this was the most important part. Dave provided us with different $$ options too, explained everything and helped us with selecting the right package and class timings. We got free evaluation for both kids. We also changed the day and timings of the class quite a few times and they always helped us. My kids have finally settled on Thurs and Fri classes... they want no classes on Sat/Sun.So far both my kids are enjoying learning here and we are quite happy.

The academy has been a very positive and helpful experience for my child and for my family. The centre is very supportive and has worked so well with, and for my child /student with mathematics, the tuitor has done an excellent job and the centre always goes that extra mile to find out what the needs of your child are, as well as it provides great flexibility and support not only to the student but to the family as a unit. I am very appreciative and feel very fortunate that we joined with the academy for the afterschool math lessons, as they have helped my child greatly in more ways than I can say. .
