Would not recommend for real estate closing. Edward Woolley is nice but the Legal Assistant, Tricia, left things until the very last minute. She called the afternoon of closing to find information that she didn’t have. We gave her everything she needed weeks prior. The result was that she emailed our lender after 4pm asking for transfer of funds. Our lender is based out of eastern Canada. She promised to stay until she heard back, but called at 4:33pm (3 minutes past the end of her 8:30-4:30 day) to say she’s guessing they’re gone for the day. So no transfer of funds the day of closing when she had weeks to get everything to the lender. Purchasing a home is stressful enough without having to worry about losing the home & forfeiting our deposit because of somebody else’s bad time management.

Ed has provided me with amazingly legal ability and professionalism for many years. It doesn't matter how big or small my legal needs are, he is thorough, professional, very careful and knowledgeable. I have referred many friends and clients to him and always felt confident doing so.

I had a great experience working with Woolley & Co. I used them for a recent real estate purchase, Edward is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me immensely. The staff is kind and helpful. Tricia went above and beyond any expectations I had set. I am working with another law firm currently and I have to jump through hoops to get in contact with someone. Everyone there is present and attentive to my needs and concerns. Overall I had a wonderful experience.

I have had Woolley and Co be the lawyers looking after our clients on a few deals that I was was the mortgage broker for. Their service was excellent and I was especially happy with how calmly they dealt with the transactions- creating way less stress for the clients.

Had very poor representation experience with this firm. Its too bad because it was from these reviews that I contacted them to probate a Will. They took longer than necessary, charged more than expected, made several costly mistakes that ultimately cost the estate in both time and money. They apologized for nothing except that all that I had experienced was unfortunate. Yes it was unfortunate indeed and I hope you adjust your customer service accordingly. They caused more stress and frustration than any other executor duties when it was the opposite they were hired for.

Mr. Woolley seemed fine. His assistant was rude and made several mistakes that cost us well over a thousand and neglected /miscommunicated enough that made it worse.She was rude and made several large and small mistakes and was flippant instead of taking responsibility for what it cost us.The job got done but is sure didn't feel goodStill waiting for more issues to unfold from unfinished efforts on their end hoping it won't come back to bite us.I have used Wooley in the past but he must know that his assistant isn't assisting his reputation

So far we are 2 years and 8 months into a probate.This is the most unresponsive company I have ever dealt with.They have been terrible to work with and will be going to go to the BC law society to see if there is any recourse to deal with them.I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. update" we are now at 2 years and 11 months with no resolve....I will keep you updated.Update

I needed copies of originals and an immigration doc notarized. Fitted us in with short notice. A pleasant and professional experience. Thanks Mr Woolley!
