C'est vraiment le choix des connaiseurs!Nous achetons sélectivement des poulets frais et dodus locaux, puis nous les rôtissons l-e-n-t-e-m-e-n-t sur du vrai charbon de bois.Nous nous assurons que tous nos poulets barbecue sont parfaitement cuits, croustillants et dorés à l'extérieur, tendre et juteux à l'intérieur. This place is mega iconic.. the only points taken off is for the seating which felt cramped. The chicken is exquisite and nobody beats it... There is a reason they've been in business for almost 80 years

Always consistant, the food, the service,and the staff. True BBQ Chicken done in huge rotisserie ovens over charcoal. Always juicy.Very cozy restaurant, that never changed the recipe or the decor since the begining. And not to forget the sauce!

Best BBQ chicken on the planet PERIOD. I have been going there since 1969 never had a bad meal. I'm even giving the decor five stars because it hasn't changed since I've been going there.

Our waitress Tina was amazing and very friendly and helpful! The rating is because my mom and I had the chicken sandwiches though and they were frankly terrible. Probably the worst, most dry and uninspiring chicken sandwich I have ever had.The meat was so dry it was like it had been cooked three or four times, it had no sauce or flavour, the lettuce was wilted and had no moisture and the buns were the cheapest kaiser buns you could get from a no frills. We asked for some BBQ sauce for it and that definitely helped but it wasn't really salvageable.My partner had the quarter chicken meal, which was actually BBQ chicken as advertised unlike ours, and it was really really good. Great soup, fries, and great BBQ chicken. It's too bad that they definitely do not use that BBQ chicken on the BBQ chicken sandwiches""

Outstanding value taste and quality. Service is 10/10Suggestion: chalet BBQ Restaurant Should Put a sign on sidewalk Tuesday’s as of April 1 !Saying It is a NO parking Between 12 noon and 2:30 pm it cost 90$ The no parking sign is damaged and hard to see .And That is if there free parking is full.It would create an even better 5 star service rather than pay city of montreal stupidly.

Chalet BBQ is still, by far, the best rotisserie chicken out there. The chicken is tender and juicy, while the skin is brown and crispy. Their lunch special is the best deal. A quarter chicken, served with coleslaw, French fries, 1/2 bun, and gravy. Or you can have a hot chicken sandwich smothered in their thick, peppery gravy, with coleslaw and fries.The service was unbelievable. All the service staff had smiles on their faces and were so accommodating.The decor brings one back to the beginning, 1944. Wood panels on the wall and booths to sit and enjoy the food.They do have a few parking spots behind the restaurant with a short walk to the front.Enjoy!

First time here after driving by this place for over 25 years. Finally got a chance to check it out and the food didn't disappoint. The fries, chicken and gravy were tasty. But at the end of the day it's still rotisserie chicken and can only be so good. The only thing that disappointed me was that I ordered 2 chicken breasts, a small fry and gravy, and my chicken came wrapped in clear plastic, which I have never seen before.. I have concerns about having hot chicken directly wrapped this way, as some of the chemicals from the plastic can leech onto the hot chicken. My friend however got his food in an aluminum container with paper top (pretty standard) which would have made more sense.

A colleague took me here when I was visiting on a business trip. It reminds me so much of Swiss Chalet in the 1980s and how good it was then. Definitely coming back with my husband next time we come to Montreal for a weekend away.
