Hôtel le Saint-Paul
Lovely and charming place to stay in the city. Right in the edge old Quebec and a close walk to many of the beautiful sights, shopping, and restaurants. The room was spacious and well appointed. Charming old windows. Modern interior but still kept the charm of the city. No change of sheets or towels but that may have been due to only booking a two night stay and we had enough toiletries and towels provided by the hotel to last those nights anyways. The view itself from our room faced a gas station but the location and interior made this place well worth the stay.

A cozy hotel in a great location. The staff were warm, friendly, fluent in English & French, & dealt with any issues immediately (the bathroom door was a bit squeaky & it was fixed straight away). The room was comfortable & quiet, bathroom clean with bath& shower). Carpets in lobby area & halls are a bit worn & could be replaced, but room itself clean & good value for money given the great location (close to restaurants, Vieux Port, & 5 minutes from Via Rail station), & helpful staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 2018. Our room was small but comfy. The washrooms/showers were clean. The only thing was a slight musky smell throughout the hotel. The location was great - across the street from a really cute farmers' market and walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in Old Quebec.

Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Quaint little spot on the edge of Old Quebec. Lots of walking. Parking across the road and costs$$.

Breakfast is not included in the stay anymore due to Covid. The parking is across the street and is an extra charge of $14 a day. The lot can be full at times as it is a public parking lot. There is no housekeeping during the stay due to Covid although you can ask the front desk staff for towels or anything else you need. Front desk staff is not 24/7 but they give you an access code to enter the building when they aren't there. The room was quite small, although the washroom was very nice with a huge bathtub. Room had a fridge and a coffee machine.

Clean modern rooms. The staff was amazing. I lost my cell phone while walking around and they went above and beyond in helping me find it and get it back.

Stayed at this place last week. It’s a small hotel in a great location. Checked all the reviews before booking and people where mentioning the smell. Didn’t notice anything, just a regular smell of an old building. As long as it’s clean I’m ok with anything. And I did take the bedding apart cause I always check the bed. It was clean. The guy at the reception is extremely friendly and nice. Makes you feel welcomed. I would definitely stay there again

This was worth the price. However, there are design flaws management should not have signed off on. The staircase is carpeted with the same schema as the hallway and my room, wall to wall, a striped black, grey and off white. Exposed wood is painted black. Such a shame for an historic building. The carpet is naturally a sponge for winter conditions. The shower has a great overhead and a removable wall head each which can be switched between, but the shower has a 40cm entrance-way that cannot be closed, so water and soap spray out. The sink has no ring for a hand towel. The main bathroom light resembles an optometrist's exam light set directly into the mirror, blinding when eyes are dilated at night. The king bed is squeezed in, a queen would have done just fine. The TV is set into a large floor-to-ceiling block of furniture, double the width of the TV, creating a choke-point with the bed between the doorway and the rest of the room. The room unfortunately gave the feel of a beautiful person with botox, an historic hotel glued over in Ikea-inspired furniture. The front-desk host was quite nice. The room was clean. The toilettries were complete, including mouthwash. Overall, for the right price, I would stay again, but whichever management team approved the design, at least of room 33, could use this as instruction.
