St Joseph's Children's Centre

I called the branch at Duke tower and spoke with Amanda to join my 4 year old in their centre . I really had a bad experience with it. I told I want him to join in their preschool she said with his age he can join primary school, then I said I would love to but he is still not good at communicating If that's ok with you he can join. They asked any reason and doing anything to overcome it. I said my son is diagnosed with Autism and he is going to a speech therapy, after I said that she didn't even ready to listen what iam trying to say and kept saying they already have two Autism/ down syndrome kids and have two teachers specially from them and can't take more. I said he doesn't need special care he can be put with same age group so that it helps kids like him to develop his speech skills and she kept saying downsyndrome kid can't be put with same group, I tried to explain my son diagnosed with Autism yes but not down syndrome. He is normal kid who is not speaking yet. But she thinks am defending my son and kept saying syndrome kid will not only have speech delay, have you met my son before how can you say that, U.S president Abraham Lincoln then Albert Einstein also Bill gates are Autism kids not down syndrome kids . There are different kinds of Autism, It's different who is delayed in development not mentally challenged. Even the director of the centre don't know this simple difference between Autism and down syndrome so I doubt the knowledge of the teachers in it. It's sad minimum star rating is 1 "

Really a good place for kids to stay

My wife and I pulled our son from a different daycare (due to certain things we witnessed and asked to be addressed and weren't) and put our son into st. Joseph's. We couldn't be happier. The staff are super awesome. Our sons development has far exceeded our expectations due in large part of the staff. Thank you and know that you are all greatly appreciated.
