Digby's Restaurant - Kanata
The place has a great ambience inside and a big seating area. Certainly family friendly. Staff is very pleasant and helpful as well. We had various items from the menu including haddock fish and chips, double burger and a couple of items from the kids menu. The fish and chips are nothing spectacular but it's certainly enjoyable; the batter is thin and crispy and not oily. The portion size of the kids menu is really for adults; kids eat free on Sundays by the way. All the items are served with fries so I would recommend changing the side options to avoid having a fries bonanza at the end. The popcorn shrimps and jalapeno poppers were amazing.

This place has great food. Decor is a bit outdated but there is a beautiful ocean mural on the walls creating a nice atmosphere. The fish was very generously portioned. The club was slightly on the dry side, needs a bit more sauce.

Digby's Restaurant - Kanata
In a city where F and C restaurants have all but disappeared, (exception Red Lobster), Digby's is a gem. Quality of our haddock and fries was excellent. Freshly prepared, crispy, not oily. Small side of coleslaw typical. Server was friendly and timely. Lemon pie had to be made there as the crust was like home made. We live in south east Ottawa, but we'll return. Good value for money. Prices in line with quantity provided.

I visited Digby’s for lunch and everything about the experience was fantastic! Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious! I ordered cod fish and chips, the fish was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispiness and the french fries were also crispy and paired well with the fish. They have a large menu with lots of different options as well. Overall a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend Digby’s!

Always good food. Awesome fish and chips and more!It is now 4 months since my last review.We just brought home some fried chicken. The family meal. Oh my goodness! So crispy and good. Amazing and halal!

All you can eat fish & chips. It was delicious. Found the fish a bit more oily. Overall taste was great. The staff is really friendly.

Amazing food and lovely staff. Loved our experience there. The couple next to our table liked the fish and chip so much they ordered extra fish and ended up having 16 pieces of fish! Tip: ask the staff what kind of fish is the best for Fish and Chips they will recommend based on how fishy (smell and taste) you want it to be. The food is Halal as well.

Best described as a seafood themed greasy spoon. The decor feels a bit dated and eclectic but has its own kind of charm.The server was very friendly and good with our child. From what I could see if other interactions they have their share of regulars and make them feel at home.The cod fish and chips was light and flaky if a little heavily battered. Fries could have had a more crispness to them. The fried shrimp were also well cooked and moist.

Fish was incredible, had the salmon and Haddock and both were delicious. The chips were top shelf and the slaw did not disappoint either. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back myself!
