Deer Lake Park Festival Lawn

Roots and blues festival - kids are welcome and encouraged with kids corners and play areas. Lots of bathrooms and places to sit and relax to enjoy the show. Big downfall is that typically the food etc is quite expensive and the lines are super long. It’s really nice to be able to have in and out privileges to be able to enjoy the park a bit and get away from the crowds

Wonderful place for an outdoor concert. The slope of the land allows decent views from most of the area around the stage Note that the lawn does retain some moisture, so you may need something a bit more than a thin blanket to sit on.

A nice outdoor concert and festival venue with a gentle undulating sloped grassed bank overlooking deer lake. Great atmosphere when food trucks are setup. Unfortunately let down by relatively average traffic management and access planning resulting in chaos around the site when concerts are on. Proper public transport integration is needed and further facilities including the selling of rain ponchos would be very useful with the wet Vancouver weather! Fantastic equal access opportunities provided and two temporary toilet facilities.

The National was one of the best concerts I've been to.The walk up to the venue and the very, very disorganized festival staff and security was unbelievable!!After walking up to an entry (15 mins.) we were told to walk through gardens for another entrance, one we had passed that was not accessible 10 minutes before.Once at the entry point, we were asked to go back to our original entrance but a mutiny occurred and people stayed put...and waited another 15 minutes.Lining up for a drink was another nightmare! One line was for people with bands and another for those who did not have one. Surprisingly, or maybe not, the line for the unidentified went through to the drink sales 10 minutes before the other line.To say I was disappointed and angry is an understatement...Get your staff together and figure this out!

Deer Lake park is beautiful, and its accessible year round. There is amazing flora all around in summer, the colours in autumn and just amazing, and its like a winter wonderland in Winter. Overall great place in any season. But in summer its vibrant with a lot of activites, and bustling crowds!

Great views of Burnaby and the lake. The natural 'bowl' the lawn creates is great for acoustics and has the capacity for many people to see ljve shows from a great vantage point!

BEAUTIFUL NATURAL VENUE IS FIVE STARS but I'm giving it one star because we had to throw away our picnic food! This is such as waste of dollars especially during this economic times and we've already spent $70 per ticket. Venue and/or TicketMaster should have advised ticket holders that there's no outside food and drinks, and that there will be food $$$$ trucks.

The big lawn is a great place for any concerts and festivals. The City Of Burnaby just held a really nice Burnaby Blooms in the weekend of Mother's Day.People enjoy there on a hot sunny day.There are lot of interesting things for all ages. We can learn about environments.People have fun for taking pictures with eco-sculptures, folk dance and music too.

Never get bored every time I visit this calm and beautiful park.
