One star because it doesn't let me do negatives. Facing the increase workload pressure and staff shortages pretty much everywhere in BC, they sought solution by making changes that may sound okay to people not working in healthcare. In reality, it has no real practical mean except making it harder to secure talents from sources such as foreign graduates. The higher ups in the organisation doesn't really know anything about Canadian healthcare system, nor do they seem to have relevant consultants. They are pretty proud of that for some reason, it seems. At least make announcements well early before changes; or have a overlapping-bridging period when making changes like a legitimate public organisation would. I grew up here and am ashamed to tell people about what goes on here. Should've stayed anywhere else I've lived instead of coming back. If someone you hold dear doesn't get quality healthcare because of staff shortages, we'd know who to blame. Tax dollars on healthcare wasted because decision makers are paying themselves for doing nothing.

Over priced and self serving. They will not allow us to advocate for PT or staff safety publicly. Some how they audit us and make us use self reflection". I think they all need to return to the floor for even 2 weeks a year and get a wake up call. Pathedic."

Quit fleecing our families with these bs rates, fact is nobody should be paying $1 yrly to serve the public let alone over $600. Not only do health care workers have to pay" to park at work they get fleeced next step up also. Nurses don't make that much so time to face the reality.Jerks!"

The annual practicing fee for BC nurses is outrageous, especially when compared to most other provinces. If other provinces are charging nurses 1/3 or 1/2 of the price, it raises a lot of questions.I believe there are 60,000 nurses required to pay annual licensing fees, which means that this organization is collecting close to 40 MILLION dollars each year. Where is this money going? What is it being spent on?I agree with the other reviewer - the BCCNM needs a public audit.

Yet another exorbitant fee hike for nurses just so we are able to work in a system thats failing us. 30 years in nursing, and the cost to license myself to work has more than doubled, or in my case QUADRUPLED because I am dual trained RPN/RN. Tell me WHY I have to pay the cost of TWO licenses from the SAME association. It was different when there was the RNABC and RPNABC because they were separate entities. But now we have an amalgamated singular College and I am still paying double??? I'm not getting double the services of anyone else, so please explain that this is anything more than a cash grab. We are already overworked and underpayed. The College is there to supposedly set the Standards of Nursing and uphold it. Really??? Look at the state of our current Healthcare system and tell me they are making it better for nurses

Outrageous license fees and for what? For their building in downtown? BCCNM is taking advantage of nurses and not even helping nurses at all. Also, why do we need to have marriage license notarized when the government doesn’t even ask for a notarized license. Ridiculous.

Heard they had moved out of the building on Arbutus, only to move into a downtown waterfront location. At Vancouver's real estate prices? When most of them could work from home? And they collect millions of dollars from nurses...for what? What a scam. They need an audit.

Where should I start, they say they need nurses and make it hard for us to practice here.Send us to do Remidial courses in KPU that are outrageously expensive and so hard to pass even for a Canadian educated Nurse. Its so stressful what international educated nurses pass just to get licensed, they make you feel you are incompetent and unsafe to practice here . Learned my lesson

Making 30mil a year off nursing fees. When all the colleges joined it should have saved money and fees should have decrease. A lot of redundant positions should have been amalgamated. Nope, fees have increase and now they got a nice expensive lease on a place in coal harbour.
