Radium Chalet

Great Christmas stay!Amazingly friendly staff at reception - went above and beyond to make our stay satisfying!Cozy rooms with fireplace and little kitchenettes. We had corner suite with amazing mountains and city view.Love it and definitely will be back!

I grew up going to The Chalet with my family. Made some great memories there! Now a father myself, I wanted to recreate those memories with my family. Little did I know the hotel had switched owners. Upon arrival, my booking was mixed up and we got placed into the motel section rather than the Chalet. There was garbage thrown in the ditches below the balcony and haphazard electrical work along the baseboards. Breakfast was cooked with No Name brand ingredients and tasted off. The cooked was hungover and was late. When I spoke to management about these issues, they told me I already had a discounted rate and could not receive money back on the second night. He offered me $20.00 and a bottle of wine. I found this slightly offensive. We decided to cut our trip short. I wish I left my childhood memories untouched and stayed somewhere else.

This property was overpriced for being not accommodating as to the description on the websiteOther than a great view at the top of the hill we were disappointed to pay almost $300 per night!1. The building itself and the restaurant was not clean or taken care of the outside dining deck was slanted and unstable on top of the mountain2. The beds were super old and one bed was broken with two dips in the middle with no support as the support below was hanging under the bed frame3. No body wash and hand soap was filled with water (from dollar store) when it was supposed to be all natural products from Rocky Mountain soaps. One roll of thin toilet paper was available4. Kitchen looked clean until I seen red sticky juice spilled in fridge shelves and only 2 old dried up coffee pods were available.Floors in kitchen were never swept up and filthy in between the fridge5. Cob webs hanging from ceiling of kitchen cabinets and downstairs dresser full of dust!6. Terrible thin drapes don’t offer complete privacy or darkening to sleep7. Old patio doors off the deck had one lock no handle which doesn’t feel secure especially when young families are staying below in the basement while the main front door is upstairs.8. Sauna was not working as they said they were so busy and never had time to clean or fix it!I have never left a bad review ever in my travels and wish to have a refund from this run down place

Very rarely do I give 5 stars but for anyone coming to Radium Hot Springs I would highly recommend staying here. It is older but wonderful the views are amazing staff very friendly.

This was the most AWFUL experience I have ever had. I booked online through Expedia for a single night while passing through. I booked the Chalet 10 minutes before our arrival. Upon arrival they told me our reservation was not valid as they do not accept PAID reservations through Expedia and that I would be required to pay again, then have to go through Expedia for a refund. Once I denied this I had Expedia contact them to figure it out - After 20 minutes they told me we could have a different room as the one we booked was not available. By this time we learned we were being evacuated at home and had to leave immediately. The owner Terry called me and stated the room was now available and we could stay. I explained our situation, and he told me that since I booked and cancelled within 30 minutes and didn't provide 3 days notice that there was nothing he would be willing to do. Not to mention he blamed his receptionist for not speaking english well enough for the miscommunication. He was in the building and refused to come down and address this matter himself. There is absolutely no way I would ever, ever support Terry and his business. He's just looking to cash in on tourists and not accept any blame for his actions.STAY AWAY from this establishment.Expedia tried everything, they called Terry direct as well and he told them the same thing.

I was very dissatisfied and disappointed.I texted them not to charge me for the extra person because they didn’t provide us any extra bedding nor towels. We did not able to get a breakfast as well because there were only two packs and they did not have anyone around to assist us. We also had problems with the couch because it was filthy and we were itching.The location is nice and has a nice view i just wished that they have maintained their facilities and have someone to help us around. I don’t think i will go back there again.FYI I did not gave you a 5 star review and I acknowledged the fee regardless because I understand the policy, however you guys told me that the room fits 5 people and i have to pay 2 persons. If i did not attached any photos on the message i will be charged $47 for sure. I did acknowledge the fee, that’s a fact but when we stayed at the place there was no point of paying since we did not get the service that we should’ve acquired for that extra charge. I have people with me who can attest to that and say the exact same things.I can let go of that $23 you charged mebut fact that no one was there to assist us was very disappointing and how you guys are responding to this review is provoking. Don’t worry, I will take care of my future. This is a business and i am raising a concern. You guys should be acknowledging it for the betterment of your businesses future.

I would love to have given 5 stars in every category. Overall our visit and stay there was great and we would do it again. I should mention that we stayed during the off season and came without reservation. However due to off season, housekeeping or maintenance were not available and our room left a few things to be desired. We had to do our own cleaning and making beds. Fresh towels were not supplied after we used ours the first 2 days. There were cobwebs and dustbunnies in corners and on ledges. When I tried to get housekeeping to give the room a do-over, I was told that no housekeeping would be available and was offered a rag and a bottle of windex. This is the only part of our experience that was not pleasant. We would go back though and stay there again as long as we were given a Clean room and housekeeping was available. The views from this location are spectacular and you are up on a mountain side. It's peaceful and quiet. A lovely location really.

Beautiful view & great staff!We really enjoyed our time here during the off season. The suite was clean & equipped with what we needed for our stay and very reasonably priced and dog friendly!We extended our stay after 1 night as the staff was great and it was quiet. The view from our room can not be beat!We will definitely visit againThank you so much
