A beautiful, well maintained small garden in Chinatown. It brings a peaceful respite from the surrounding hustle and bustle. The garden is worth exploring. I received a map and brochure of the gardens that had so much information. It's worth reading before you go into the gardens so you can see why things are the way they are and for some fun activities that can add to your visit. They have small clean bathrooms on site and a small gift shop with items that are from local artists. The park next door with the same name is free to visit and worth the few extra minutes to see too. Very pretty gardens.

The poorly rated reviews about the cloudy water obviously did not read the pamphlet that was provided- it's cloudy and murky on purpose due to the clay at the bottom. This allows the beautiful buildings to reflect onto the water. It's a beautiful place, although quite pricey

This delightful garden appears to one have been someone's home long ago. There is a public and private part of the garden, with the private being more intimate while the public is mostly a pond with paths. The private has art, furnished rooms, an entertainment venue, and a tea house gallery.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of working at many beautiful venues, but the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver truly stands out as a unique and culturally significant location for any couple looking to tie the knot. The garden's traditional Chinese setting is stunning, with a jade-coloured pond that create an atmosphere of refined splendor. But what really sets this venue apart is the wealth of symbolic and aesthetic features throughout the space, making it a truly special place to exchange vows. What I love most about this venue is its versatility. Whether you're planning a traditional or non-traditional wedding, the courtyards, pavilions, and covered walkways offer indoor and outdoor options for any season or atmosphere.Overall, I would highly recommend the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden to any couple looking for a wedding venue that's both beautiful and culturally significant. Its unique features and stunning setting make it an unforgettable location that will wow your guests and provide endless opportunities for gorgeous wedding photos.

Poorly kept garden and you’re in and out within 30 minutes tops. The water is overgrown with weeds and murky. No koi fish or anything living besides the weeds. It’s very run down and sad locking.. I think it’s better to save your money and see something else. There was a security guard on-site but he was on his phone the entire time so probably no sense in even having him there to feel safe.

Very very beautiful garden. The price is slightly higher than I expected, which is the only reason for the 4 stars. The views were incredible, and the greenery really set a calm tone. There was also complimentary tea and a gift shop at the end. Would recommend.

The gardens are divided into two: a paid area and a free area. When you enter the building, you can turn right and you will reach the ticket booth. An adult ticket costs $16. In my opinion the price is excessive. Another option: when entering the building continue straight instead of turning right and then there will be a right turn to the free area. To me the two areas are similar, they actually overlook each other. In the place there are public washrooms, souvenir shop and samples of Chinese tea.

It is well worth going to experience this Chinese garden. It made me feel like I would meet Mulan around the corner! They even provided free jasmine tea.

So sad the neighborhood has deteriorated so they've had to do more security measures. Maybe if more people go they can fight back and help restore the area. Lots of history and peacefulness within the walls.
