I know life is extremely expensive these days, really, I know.The food I ordered was OK, but not as great as reflected in the price. Literally 1 fingerings potato, 1 asparagus, 1 broccolini and thin slices of veal that tasted like nothing beef or other.The tiniest portions are accompanied by hefty prices.The space is lovely! The service was wonderful!If the ingredients could be better and the prices adjusted a tad, this would be as wonderful as the old Italian kitchen.

Italian Restaurants are a dime a dozen on Robson, so I dragged my girlfriend to Italian Kitchen because neither of us had gone before.Right out of the gate, the decor really charmed me and made me think of lush vineyards in Tuscany.We were seated in the corner, in a totally empty restaurant, as they had just opened. This satisfied my request for a more private table.Our waitress gifted us with Bread and Cinnamon Butter, and a plate of Caprese Salad. Again, it was our first time there, so we weren't sure if this was typical or not. Either way, it was a very pleasant surprise, and it set the tone for what we hoped would be a delicious meal.My beef carpaccio came out shortly after that, and it was devoured relatively quickly. Our mains though, took us a bit longer. We opted to share a Carbonara and Crab Benedict, which our waitress said was one of their specials for the day.The Carbonara was good, but I personally prefer Marcellos. The potatoes were standard, as we expected. It was our Crab Benedict that we were looking forward to the most, and it ended up being the dish that was our least favorite.The McMuffin base was harder than a rock, I kid you not. We tried to cut it, we really did. We put our backs into it, but it wasn't budging. The only thing that was budging, were our knives, which got quite the workout.Since we obviously weren't going to be eating that rock, we started in on the crabmeat. It was kind of dry and like it hadn't been seasoned, but since it was our most expensive dish, we forced ourselves to eat as much of it as possible.In general, the food was kind of underwhelming, which was a shame. I probably wouldn't go back there for their Brunch again, but I would be open to seeing if their dinner service is any better.

Well when I learned that Don Francesco had changed locations and lost traction with new owners, I was relieved to know that it was replaced with dare I say an even better Italian restaurant. One of the few places that make a proper Carbonara (without cream). Table side Parmesan Wheel, add truffles, dine like a king here. Definitely not cheap but the perception of value is definitely present. Love this place.

Fantastic place for celebratory dinner! Great food, great ambiance and amazing customer service. One of our go to places for a big birthday dinners! Parking is a little tough however. Truffle Spaghetti and Meatballs is big enough for two kids. Seafood is fresh and the desserts are heavenly! Enjoy!

We had the cacao e pepe, lobster ravioli, Cesar salad, salmon sausage, steak and eggs. And an old fashioned to drink. Everything was excellent its really a beautiful restaurant. Also our serve Anna was wonderful. She is so kind and has an excellent knowledge of all the food items. She served us tableside cacao e pipe and it was very fun. Thanks again well be back soon

Went here for dinner with my girlfriends and absolutely enjoyed the food !We had few drinks, antipasto platter and pasta platter and it was enough for 5 of us .The food was really amazing, the pasta was very creamy and rich.Can’t wait to come back and enjoy more amazing dishes!!They also gave us a complimentary dessert as it was my birthday !!

We had a blast celebrating my fiancée’s birthday here. Food was great. We were served by Jenn who was very cheerful and bright. She made our first time trying this place less intimidating. In addition, she also made sure that she took of our food allergies. Looking forward to the next visit!

It has a really good atmosphere and the menu offers a solid range of dishes, bit pricey for what you get but well worth the night out.

Visited Italian Kitchen in April and tried their Truffle Spaghetti with meatballs. The food didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. Although the meatballs were juicy and flavorful, the truffle spaghetti was a bit plain and I expected more flavor from the truffle. While the restaurant had a nice design and attentive service, the food was only so-so.
