We were running a bit late for our 8:15 reservation on a Friday evening, but we actually didn't end up getting seated until half an hour later. They also had to move us to another table to accommodate a party of four, but they did warn us ahead of time, and they comped our first round of drinks, which was nice of them.We were hoping to do the tasting menu because we really wanted the uni toast (which they ran out of) but they said most of the tasting menu items were gone, and we had to order a la carte. So if you're looking to do the tasting menu as well, make sure you get an earlier reservation. We ended up ordering a few items:-Caviar oyster - the oyster was fine. I liked the hot sauce in the little bottle that it was served with-Blue fin tuna hand roll - this was really good. I liked the fried shallots it was topped with. It was a nice change from the typical green onion-Salmon hand roll - this was great as well. I recently started liking ikura, so that was a nice touch-Flat iron wagyu - this was probably the worst dish of the night. It came smothered in some sauce, reminiscent of the teriyaki kitchen entrees you'd get at a sushi takeout restaurant. It masked the taste of the beef, which makes me wonder about the quality and if it was even wagyu at allMaybe my experience would have been difference had I gotten to try the tasting menu. But it's hard to judge when menu items are limited. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back though.

Cute little place, they don't have a lot of tables so we sat at the bar. The servers were really friendly. We all got the tasting menu. Overall the food wasn't bad. My favorite dish was their special of the day which was dungess crab croquette. This wasn't part of their tasting menu. Oysters were really fresh, sashimi was ok, uni toast was pretty good. The toro handroll/taco wasn't bad, it would have tasted better if they used a toasted seaweed that was more crunchy. The sauce on the norwegian cod was good but the cod itself wasn't the best quality. Wasn't buttery like I thought. The wagyu steak was cooked well and the dessert was just ok. Not a bad place to try.

Fresh quality food and enjoyed every dish. Not the place if you want to be stomach full as it is on the pricey side. Definitely, will consider coming back and trying the tasting menu. The place is quite tight my elbows were already on each end of the table.

We tried the tasting menu, $85/pp for a party of 2. It includes an oyster, sashimi, a uni toast, tuna roll, a croquette, piece of cod, waygu and a dessert to share. It was good value for the variety of food and we were content in terms of being full at the end of the meal. The uni toast was the best part, very generous amount of uni paired well with the squid ink toast and cream. The cod was a bit over cooked but the light sauce was enjoyable. The waygu was very salty so it kind of ruined the experience. Had to rub the sauce off on the plate to eat it. Service was great, they came often to check in on us and changed our cutlery and plates. I would be interested to come back to try their tasting menu once they’ve changed it up.

Top notch food and unreal service! The 10 course tasting menu was a fantastic deal at $75 (Now $85). High quality seafood and one of the best steaks I’ve ever had.I’ve been multiple times and they have never disappointed. One of Toronto’s best. I’ll be back

Excellent combination of atmosphere, food, and knowledgeable service. Went here for dinner with my girlfriend and we ended spending about 140$ but everything was worth it all, we will return to try the tasting menu for sure. Highly recommend for enthusiasts for Japanese cuisine!

Good food, slightly on the pricier side. Everything tasted nicely cooked and fresh. Service is great, attentive and friendly. We sat on the patio out frontCroquettes: nice and cheesy, crisp on the outsideTomago temaki: the truffle overpowered the eggScallop temaki: our favorite biteBluefin futomaki: big pieces of tuna with freshly grated wasabi, really goodOmai futomaki: deluxe roll which are quite bigCould've done without the truffle flavor as it was quite strong that masked all the natural senseInside had a bar seating but felt very dark insideThey also have a tasting menu for $85/pp

Limited ingredients on menu with *very high* price. Salmon and scallops were ok, but chu-toro and uni were quite low quality at this price point. Cod and maki were good

Wonderful sushi. The futomaki are great but out of the two the omai futo is the better one. Every hand roll was amazing too but the uni and tamago were my favorite. The restaurant is simple and easy to miss from the outside but the vibe is welcoming inside.

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner and started with two cocktails, a Shiso Negroni and Melona Bar which was honeydew flavored and was very nice and light. We had the bluefin maki, toro don which was the daily special, uni don, oyster caviar, black cod, and salmon temaki. All the items were very fresh and light. The service was attentive and the restaurant had a very nice ambiance. This is a great place for drinks and small plates and would recommend.
