Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a business. My wife and I have a newborn and requested help from this business out of desperation.I installed the garage door opener and noticed that the torsion spring on the garage door was locking up (12 year old spring) causing the tension cable to slack and the tension monitor to trigger the door to go back up before closing.I had specifically requested a tech to replace the tension spring due to the danger of replacing the spring. The tech came while my wife was home and I was at work. The tech moved the safety tension monitor off the cable and up out of the way of the door (see both photos: the techs work vs what it should look like). The tech then charged $135.56.When I called the explain that bypassing a safety mechanism was NOT a repair the owner refused to listen to me, refused to refund me and refused to send a tech back.I called Chamberlain and confirmed that this is NOT a solution and they confirmed that bypassing the safety monitor is dangerous and will eventually prevent the door from working.I now have to report this business to the better business bureau and lost out on $135. And additionally, I now have to remove the sensor from the roof and put it back of the cable.This company is negligent and their customer service is appalling. I appreciated the timely response and the initial assistance but was extremely disappointed at the end of the day.

Garage door froze to the floor on one side and the opener snapped cables and bent the entire door when I tried to open it. Capital was at our place within a couple of hours and fixed it on the spot. Service guy was very nice and it was quick and fairly priced.

The technician told me what the real problem was with my garage door but didn’t fix it. He was here only thirty minutes and charged the full service amount $170. There was an issue in the way the door was installed by the builder. He just needed to add a piece of wood to support the metal bracket holding the cable pulley. He justified his action not to fix that problem by creating a complicated repair scenario where he needed to take out drywall and reconstruct the garage door. He literally needed to add a small piece of wood behind the metal bracket.Clearly I’m unhappy with his service, definitely do not recommend this company again. There are a few good reviews which is why I picked them. There was one very bad review and I should’ve skipped this tech. The other bad review is exactly the same as mine, they made a temporary fix but didn’t actually address the real problem.The steel cable of my garage door came loose and tangled so I got these guys to come fix it. Sure enough they repaired it and the door closes and opens now. They just wound the cable and pointed out the root cause of the problem. They didn’t want to fix it and left with a smirk.The technician hasn’t left my driveway yet but I wanted to make sure I posted thing asap.

Great experience. Overhead spring broke on the double car garage. Company was quick to respond for a quote. Easy and quick communication. Great pricing and was able to book a technician to come as soon as possible.

We had our cables snapped, I called capital garage door for help. Technician showed same day and fixed the problem. He also provided a few tips to extend life for the cables. Great experience with Capital garage door.
