Orwell Corner Historic Village

This place is actually amazing!! I grew up all my life in Toronto so I have never experienced any form of village lifestyle. As a trip to PEI, we randomly found this attraction while driving by. Believe it or not but this was definitely the highlight in the province. We loved every attraction in the village. Not only the whole village itself is a museum but everything from the farm animal to the general shop has antique items from 1800s. It felt surreal and amazing at same time.One of the person who grew up in the village gave us tour of the general shop and we learned so much from her! Then we went to the woodwork where there was another individual breaking logs to build houses. The way they dress to talk felt truly like living in 1800s.Another amazing part was visiting the school. You can see the carvings on the tables made by students from over 200 years ago. It’s pretty amazing that such carving still exists and it’s so interesting to see it in person.

Nice historic village. We where there at the end of the day. Pretty quiet just how we like it. Wish there where people in more of the buildings. Overall it was a great experience.

For the admission price it's worth the visit, but I can't help but feel it's not really reaching its true potential.PEI's answer to Sherbrooke Village in Nova Scotia.Took about 2 hours for us to complete with 2 kids.Most of the staff were not really as talkative as other historic sites we have visited, special shout out to the general store guide who made the effort.Our kids enjoyed the animals, baby goats, horses and cattle for them to pet. Would have loved to see more to engage them.

One the must see if you’re visiting PEI. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous, going back to 1890s. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Amazing REAL historical site. One of the actors was a woman who truly went to school there. She was a wonderful asset to the site. Other than that, it's possible to be given a live demonstration of a blacksmith using traditional methods. Thank you so much for the tour!

We had a great experience making bread and butter!Touring the village was very interesting and knowledgeable.We had a great time, a must see!

A great place to learn about the pioneers, who settled here at P.E.I.. The buildings are as original as they come. The reenactments answer questions to the best of our knowledge of the past. A great place of history that needs to be preserved and protected for our future generations!!

Always a fantastic trip back in time. Great interactive activities like debarking wood for fence posts, making candles, and getting to watch the blacksmith. Getting to see the animals, like the days-old kids. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable, and will probably teach you something new each visit. They'll soon have some period-correct snacks to serve, too!

A must-visit amazing place, where you’ll learn so many cool and intesting facts about the way of life 100-150 years ago at Orwell. Staff was super friendly, enthusiastic and seemed to genuinely enjoy educating kids and did this in a great way. We had an amazing day last week, highly recommend it!

We have a wonderful experience at Orwell, and we really appreciate Jason and his passionate team for keeping Orwell Heritage up and going. I believe it will definitely be a great experience for everyone to learn about the history and culture of PEI!
