Prestige General Repairs
DO NOT HIRE!!Paid 1100 up front for new stairs in our backyard, as part of a 50 down and 50 upon completion agreement. He sent an invoice for more materials needed and then when it was paid, asked me to pay a different paypal because the one he sent an invoice from he was not able to access funds from for a month? Sent a second invoice and asked me to pay practically double without refunding the first. He claims he refunded me through there, but never did. I asked for receipts for payments, he never sent them. It seemed like a scam to send double invoices and ask me to pay both. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and paid him the rest of our agreed 2200 total before he completed the project (MY MISTAKE!! I really should have known better.) since my family were leaving Maine. However, he has ghosted me. It's been 3 weeks since his projected completion date, and there are no stairs on the back of my house. I have been asking for a refund, but he won't take calls or emails.Stay away!!

Prestige General Repairs
On July 14, 2022, we paid this man $7005.92 to install a new shower, and replace a second one on the lower floor. It is now October 7, 2022, and we have yet to see proof that this individual even purchased the materials let alone completed the job. We have asked for a refund, but all we keep getting is agreements that he will pay us back, but then, nothing. He does not answer phone calls, his voicemail box is always full, and he only sporadically replies to text messages. We have just filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency regarding this matter. I would not recommend this contractor.Update: As of 1/12/2023, this individual still has not repaid us. We have recovered a portion of the funds he stole from us through Paypal. We have filed complaints with the Plumber and Electricians Licensing Board for our state, and they tell me they are investigating as he appears to be advertising services he is not licensed to perform. We also contacted the State Attorney General's Office for arbitration, but he refused to even reply to them. We will continue our efforts to recover our stolen money, but suggest customers steer clear of this company.
