Dickie's Cooking School

We had a birthday party for our 5 year old and the kids had an amazing time, they were all super engaged making the cake and decorating cupcakes. The attendants were kind and super patient and led the way for all the activities. We all had a great time. We had this party over the summer but given the place and location it would be perfect for a winter party :) - Highly recommended!

Lisa is a warm, enthusiastic teacher with a wealth of knowledge to share. She breaks down techniques that could be intimidating into easy to follow steps and makes you feel like you can make anything. She opened the class with snacks and ended by cooking pasta for us all, making the class feel like an intimate dinner party. She even followed up afterwards with additional tips and recipes for us to follow. I can't recommend these classes enough and encourage anyone who's interested in learning something new to check them out.

We had birthday party for our 13 years old at Dickie’s cooking school with Lisa and her team , it was a wonderful experience, made lunch and dessert with step by step instructions ,made food prepared with love and fun, the kids had a fantastic time with Lisa.

Lisa hosted my 5 year old’s birthday party and it was so much fun! The studio vibe is warm and welcoming and Lisa was so wonderful, as she educated the group of 8 through their baking class and party time. We will definitely be back for some more culinary learning!

We came to Dickie's for our 8 year old's birthday party - a total of 10 children and 3 adults. Literally everyone had a great time, enjoying the atmosphere, the instruction, the activities, and the food that the kids had all helped to prepare.The instructors did a fantastic job of keeping the kids focused on task and entertained. They made the whole experience fun and interesting, and the whole program ran like a well oiled, precision machine.As a parent, it was amazing to take care of venue, activity/entertainment, meal, support, and cleanup all with just one call! All we and our guests had to do was show up at the scheduled time - making for a completely painless experience.Many thanks to Lisa and her crew for everything.

Lisa and her staff were amazing! Our daughter and her friends had an awesome time at her party. I appreciate that everything was organized and kept to the time limit. Highly recommend if you want a hassle, stress free kid party!

We booked a birthday party for my five-year-old. Lisa is an amazing host and very good with kids. She was patient teaching the kids how to make cake and all the kids had fun. 10/10 recommend a birthday party here.

I threw a birthday party for my 6 year old at Dickie's Cooking School today and it was fantastic. There were 10 kids total and they had an amazing time time making a cake, decoratng cupcakes and creating fondant flowers. Lisa was very responsive leading up to the party and both her and her assistant Meegan were terrific with the kids. The party package was great value too in comparison to lot of other places. It included delicious treats like fresh baked bread, fruits and veggies, fresh squeezed lemonade and coffee for the parents. I brought a few decorations but didn't really need to. The space is professional but cozy. It's a very turn key party. Would highly recommend!

Avoid this business, unless you want to be left road side with 10 children and no party. This is what happened to us this weekend.Owner double booked our birthday party. Had no professional capacity to resolve the issue. Decided to shaft us and honor the other party AFTER agreeing to do both parties. Then has us escorted away from the business--as if we did something wrong--and dumped in a schoolyard park with not so much as water for the kids. No bathroom. No supplies. No plan.But they ordered pizza and gave us a refund so I guess solves everything, right?Owner hid in her business and sent her staff to deal with us.The BEST part, is the behaviour of the other party's parents and guests. They didn't offer so much as an apology or a whiff of understanding or empathy for relegating my child to NOT having a cooking party. On top of that, the kids at that party were unbelievably rude, ridiculing our party guests while they used the bathroom (because where else were they going to go? Behind a tree at the school park?). One of them performed a little dance while pointing at my daughter saying, we're having a party and you're not!". Those are the people the owner chose to do business with. Is this who you want hosting your child's party?My advice: go elsewhere."

Dickie’s Cooking School is fantastic for kids and adults alike! Dickie’s offers a wide range of programs and menus and everyone leaves with a smile, some great culinary info, and a fully belly! Lisa is an incredible instructor who mixes info and humour in the perfect balance! I know a lot of kids in the community love the kids cooking and baking programs too. Check it out - you won’t be sorry!
