When you call victim services please be aware you may not be getting all the information you need. I called here for information on getting a family protection order, because that was what I was advised to do by the police themselves and victim services. I filled out a family protection order application and waited in the courthouse for six hours to have the judge tell me that a brother in law isn't considered family. My safety and the safety of my child are still at risk
