KTR Sewing Centre

I am rating at a 3 star because they are great in some areas and not so much in others. I LOVE this little store. I love my Janome and I’m not sure I’d own another brand of sewing/embroidery machine. My heart skips a beat when I enter their store. It’s a quilters dream. There repair guys seem to know what they are doing. They seem very experienced. Service was mediocre. The lady I talked to was border line rude. She stayed behind the counter and typed on her computer. And when I asked a question about the machines she seemed annoyed. I inquired about sewing classes and she said because I didn’t buy my machine from them then I was out of luck. So be it. I walked out of there a bit discouraged. Would I go back? Yes absolutely. But my guard is up. And if another store opened, I’d be the first inline to check them out.

I am so glad that I bought my first sewing machine from KTR! Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, but when you purchase a machine through them, they offer you a series of free classes to learn more about your machine and sewing technique's. I am fairly new to the world of sewing, but have learned so much from these incredible talented ladies. AND you can have your machine serviced on site too!

I've had the extreme pleasure of taking classes and shopping at KTR for many years. Kelly and her staff are the best! My learning curve has been a challenge on occasion and Kelly has such patience! Wouldn't shop anywhere else!

Bought my first Janome at KTR, however there was an issue that needed to be resolved. KTR went above and beyond my expectations to rectify. Now I am looking forward to taking classes when they resume. By the way, I love my new sewing machine.Lynne

They stand by the products they sell and the level of service they offered through a unique situation that none have encountered before was great. Exceptional customer service.I just took my Janome sewing machine (April 8, 2023) to find what is wrong with it and to repair it.As I open the door this gentleman warmly welcomed me. I asked whether I need an appointment for a repair. He said, yes. Drop the machine and it will take 2-1/2 weeks. Then I requested, how about if you take a look and see how bad the repair is. Then he asked me to bring the machine in. I brought it in. He spent about 30 minutes. Fixed it. I asked how much. Couldn't believe. He said, it is only a 10-15 minutes. Its free. I gave him 5 starts not because of the free service, But, beyond that his customer service is excellent. Very friendly and professional.He explained me what is wrong. How he fixed it.Because, he didnt charge, I purchased some items from him. Thats what I can do al least. Finally, found his name is Rob. Thanks Rob.I highly recommend this place for anyone everyone.All the best.

I love this little shop. They will cut my fabric in meters even though they typically cut in yards, but my brain works in meters when I am calculating how much fabric I need. I appreciate this. They also have a fantastic selection of Kona solids which is the best in the city and you can buy it in bolts if they have it. Their print fabric prints are also very nice and I usually find something to take home with me when I go buy the solids I need.

Staff were very helpful with choosing all the thread I needed for my applique work - 17 spools for 12 different blocks.

Very helpful and informative staff !!I bought an embroidery machine but am very clueless as I’m a beginner with this craft. I called for certain needles and the nice lady on the phone advised me I wasn’t getting the right supplies for my machine. I told her I’d come by with many questions and in store she was great in answering all of them.She recommended me notions that would be better for what I needed and extras that’ll help the quality of my embroidery designs.Can’t wait to test it all out, thank you so much !!
