Canatara Beach & Park
Nice beach . It's still early in the season and facilities are closed. The weather is starting to get nice, maybe summer will finally show its face. There is a ton of nearly kept trails, and the sunset / sunrise are gorgeous here on lake huron. I prefer the sunrises as there are very few people in the morning. Plenty of parking and benches to just sit and relax to enjoy the park. A note to dog owners, the beaches are off limits to them as the city has a bylaw in place, although I've seen a few people walking their dogs early on. Personally i have no issues with that as all the owners I've seen are responsible.

Went for a walk along the water and through the park.The park needs a clean-up.There are enough tree trunks down that with enough volunteers could be cut into lengths that could be used to fix some of the fencing that is falling apart throughout the park.There are so many things that could be done to make the park even better than what it is currently.Canatara Beach used to be a place I would tell people they needed to check out, but that's not the case and hasn't been for several years.The beach needs some work to make it look great again.

Yes! Certain other communities could learn a lesson from sarnia ! Fabulous beach, sparkling water( a little rocky in the first few feet of the the water though). Loads of FREE parking right at the beach, so no stress about meters, ticket machines that don't work ( Port Stanley) limited spaces or having to park in areas to far to trek to and from with all the stuff we all haul to the beach . We spent a few days here , it was perfect.

An excellent park! Plenty of shade trees in the hot summer! A beach, animal farm, and lots to do! I notice someone says they camp there? I haven't seen that part of the park. Can you actually camp here?

Always love this beach when I come home. It is generally always clean and well taken care of. Early mornings for the dogs to enjoy it too!

This is a nice area to have picnic or go fir a short trail with your dogs. The area is clean and very accessible. You can also see different wild lifes when you go for your walk. Watching sunset here is also incredible.

Spacious, lush with protected sand dunes & brilliant blue waters of Lake Huron. Secluded park & beach areas with adjoining amenities. Picnic areas, trails & footpaths located in the park, ideal for running, strolling or cycling.Ample parking, no fees & easy access to park with varied areas.

Great place to spend time with familyA nice mix between Springbank park and Grand Bend but on a small scale. Food trucks, picnic areas and old cars drive through...very cool place.

Nice and clean beach, lots of free parking,lots of trees and green land and picnic area for families and their kids around the lake. Great place for photographers especially at the sunset time, nice swim for all family members and their children, it was my first time and I really enjoyed it with my family.
