Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA Journey

We love the Renfrew KOA. Every year we’re back in the summer. Staff and owner are very friendly. I will say however it’s time for some renovations. The sites are getting a little rough, wear and tear I suppose, the shower houses and bathrooms definitely need a redo. But you’re there to camp, so enjoy!

The campground is lovely. Service was excellent. We will camp here again.

As a family that tent camps a lot throughout the summer, KOA is our go-to spot. The staff is great, always willing to answer questions or help out when needed. The location is nice with plenty of activities for the kids and adults alike. Just be sure to book early as the campsite fills up fast on long weekends. We have met lots of great people here over the years, and we see them all regularly. It's definitely worth trying out!

The KOA Team was very friendly. Our Campsite was in front of the lake which was awesome and it was very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The Toilets and Showers are a bit old, but otherwise everything was great.

Best campground EVER!!Amazing staff with excellent facilities & amenities.Everything was so clean and well kept.Our kids had a BLAST and haven't stopped talking about the trip.We are already planning our next visit!!!

Our campsite had a deluxe patio for the weekend which included a BBQ grill with propane. It was a beautiful set-up !

Staff is super friendly and helpful but the pictures that were posted of the sites etc on their site are deceiving. We were jammed in between 4 other sites with about 5 others looking at us, no privacy whatsoever and very small sites and not much room to park your vehicle once you park your trailer. Figuring out which site is yours and where it starts and ends can be confusing. The campground is about 80% seasonal campers and most of them while we were there were not friendly at all to the transient campers. Tried to have a shower at the comfort station but the shower head was completely missing. Be aware that if you are camping in a trailer without a full service site there is NOT a dump station on site! I called on our way out to ask if there was a dump station and they directed us to a pull through site that no one was booked at to dump, thankfully the people beside this site was our friends or that would have been awkward! The lake was pretty disgusting looking and smelled pretty awful, no swimming for us. This place has a lot of potential and could be a great spot, maybe delete a few sites and make the others larger so you have some room to move around without touching your neighbours trailer and gear.

Beautiful park. My kids loved the playground and beach. The staff were amazing, helpful and super friendly. The park was clean, and the food was great. We loved the fireworks!!! Best Canada Day weekend ever!!! We will be back for sure ♥️

What an amazing campground! Angela and her staff are helpful beautiful people. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the Canada Day weekend here. They put on one first class fireworks display! Driving range,mini putt. Kids play area. Their own small lake. I can hardly wait to go back again.
