Singing Sands Inn Motel and Wishing Tree Walk

Very clean and the owner is lovely! The motel is dated, but for the price it was definitely worth the location minutes from the beach, a clean bed and clean bathroom. The motel has a special charm to it with the labyrinth in the back and the wishing tree. Take the time to walk the labyrinth with a friend or loved one and add your wish to the wishing tree. There is a nice pool in the back as well. The continental breakfast was simple consisting of cereals, toast with various spreads, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. Perfect to get the day started. Over all good experience!

The owners and staff are great and very helpful. The view to Basin Head is a postcard. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the breakfast gives you a good start for the day before heading to the best beach in Canada.

First I will stay the folks that run this place were very sweet and kind.The rooms are very old, window AC units with open slats on the sides bugs can get through. Everything in the rooms is outdated and the second night we had the room next to us become occupied. That is when we discovered the walls are paper thin and I had to bang on the walls to get them to even attempt at being quiet. You are close to Basin Head beach, but the town of Souris is so close I would recommend seeking a room in town and driving the extra 5 minutes to the beach.

Simple, charming, no frills inn. Very close to Basin Head provincial park. My girls loved the pink bathroom. Very clean. The brown bagged breakfast bagel and juice were appreciated. The Wishing Tree Labyrinth is well thought out and well maintained. If you're in this area, staying at Singing Sands Inn is a no-brainer.

Very well-kept and clean hotel. Our family stayed for a night after being at the beach. It's about 1km or so to the beach. This hotel looks like the day it opened (1950s-1960s), which I mean as a compliment. Everything looks like the day it was built. Pool and hot tub were not heated as advertised but that wasn't a deal breaker. Owner/operator was very friendly and communicated by email to confirm reservations months in advance. Value for money compared with cottages or short-term rental is a bit skewed but we enjoyed our stay.

You can't get around that the Singing Sands has seen better days, but it is very clean and the the owners do their best to offer a welcoming stay. The view overlooking the water is fantastic. An afternoon at the beach at Basin Head is a must.

Just tried calling this horrific place to see if they had any available rooms left for August. The man on the other end acted as if I had three heads, and told me I should check for myself online. I explained to him that I indeed had tried to buy it kept giving me the run around so I decided to call. He then told me that in order for him to check it would be too difficult. I kind of chuckled and told him he was a business and isn't that what he was supposed to do? He said, sorry nope... not this time.Unbelievable, the kind of customer service this business is putting out when all I was trying to do was ask if they had any available rooms!

We enjoyed our stay here. The motel was old but it located with quite fantastic senses in the morning. The owner was very nice, made sure us welcoming environment. Communicated with email the questions I had. The pool was closed. Close to east point and very close to our favourite beach Basin Head Beach. Breakfast was packed for each person in the morning.

They are closing for the season soon (Oct 2021) but the owners were so courteous to prepare two rooms for us and breakfast basics for a great rate. The location was perfect for us to visit singing sands Beach. The morning view to relax and checkout the Wishing tree walk was a welcome opportunity to slow down in an otherwise busy trip. Rooms could use some updates in the future, but great value for the price and a good night's sleep.

It is a great location near my most favourite beach. Yes it is dated....but the owners are fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Great price and very clean. Pool was lovely.
