The Kamloops Music Collective's summer program, KISSM, has been near and dear to my heart for a long time. After attending 7 years as a student I can safely say that it's a learning experience like no other. Not only do you grow as a musician, you enjoy learning and make friends for life.

Kamloops Music Collective
Opportunities for making music starts right here. KISSM, the annual 3 week summer music camp is fun for kids of all ages to play an instrument, sing a song and dance in a musical. My 3 kids spent many summers there and still maintain the friendships that started there. You can also blow the dust off you horn and join the Kamloops Community Band or if you don't play it anymore donate your gently used horn to Band Together for kids who need them. Join the fun!

Kamloops Music Collective
I have had nothing but a positive experience with the Kamloops Music Collective, specifically with its summer program, the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music. As a student in this program, I spent five years not only building my musical prowess and performance abilities, but also gaining skills that are essential outside of the musical realm. Not to mention the benefit of making lifelong friends! A truly amazing program, and Kamloops is lucky to have it.

Kamloops Music Collective
KISSM started out, in 1978, as a summer music camp for kids. Since then, it has branched out in many other ways to support music in youth year round. This rebranding is reflective of the success of the organization and how it has grown over the years.

The experience of music, the collective teamwork of staff and students and the confidence these kids gain in themselves as they discover themselves and what they can do is absolutely amazing. I would recommend this experience to everyone.

The Kamloops Music Collective has been an incredible asset to the music community in Kamloops. I have loved all of my experiences at KISSM, including playing in bands, creating sets, and helping with the musicals.
