This is a beautiful condominium that was constructed in 1995. An art patrom, Walter Carsen donated large sum towards the building to make the lower floors as rehearsal halls for the NBoC. The first floor has a very large orchestra rehearsal halls and 2 more just as big as dance studios. It has a bright lounge on the second floor in the front of the building facing the lake. There is no parking lot, only a drop off curb cut-out in front to the building. Before the pendamic there was a small cafe inside, which provide fresh lunches for the artists. At the moment, there is no food service inside the building. It is not a freely visiting facility. I would suggest to call them first. The front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful. It is not near to a subway station.

Caroline Niklas-Gordon made my day, great ballet teacher for beginner level. I felt like I was 10 years old, a little ballerina again. She taught simple movements, but beside the technique she showed us the feeling of it. It reminded me why I love ballet so much!

The dance fit barre lessons are very helpful in losing and maintaining weight. Fast paced strengthening exercise combined with basic ballet makes it interesting and every week the the routine changes so you dont get bored. The teachers are well trained and super supportive. No experience required, I joined as an absolute beginner last year.

I am not much into this art so wont be able ro comment on that. However, the facility appears to be the best-in-town contemporary style and an impressive exterior. At times, they are open on weekends as well

Worst Parking There Is No Spots Available My Little Sister Does Ballet Here The Staff Is Strict They Let Kids Get Dismissed By Class My Parents Liked It I Only Hate The Way That I Have To Park In A Location For The Toronto Islands And Walk Over There The Place Is Well Designed And Is A Camp For The Ballet Students I Recommend This Place It’s Safe. But Hard To Find A Parking Spot…

It was a delight to watch the National Ballet, orchestra and dancers; however, in the Nutcracker performance I watched, there were two falls. Despite the mistakes, the dancers performed admirably and were complemented with a beautiful set and costumes. I had a $12 ticket for standing room at the back of the theatre instead of a designated seat. I would recommend this option for anyone who does not mind standing for two hours.

I had a negative customer service experience with the National Ballet of Canada, and I'd like to share my feedback. While I understand that this was an exceptional situation where both parties could have acted differently, I expected higher standards of customer service and care from a renowned company like the NBC.I purchased tickets to see the Nutcracker in November, specifically for the December 24th show. Unfortunately, there were unprecedented snowstorms that day, making it unsafe to drive. Realizing the situation, I contacted the NBC in the morning to inquire about my options. They promptly responded, stating that due to the extreme weather, they were waiving their no refund policy and offering a gift certificate for future productions. In hindsight, I made a mistake by not responding within the stated 3-hour window, as I misunderstood the instructions. After the Christmas festivities, I realized that I needed to follow up, but I was informed that I had missed the 3-hour window. Given the circumstances, I requested some flexibility, hoping for a more understanding approach. Unfortunately, the manager of ticket operations, Katy James, made no attempt to negotiate with me other than offering tickets to a show I had no interest in seeing. While Katy was professional, their approach felt cold, and they didn't try to see the issue from my perspective. This type of service is not what I would expect from a top national arts company.Ultimately, I had to resort to issuing a chargeback through my bank to resolve the issue. I genuinely wish that the NBC had made a better effort to reach a more amicable conclusion. This experience has left me hesitant to continue supporting them in the future.

The headquarters of the National Ballet is in a beautiful, well-located venue in Toronto.
