You sort of get what you pay for with the cheapest option, which isn't much. I was prepared for the shared toilet and shower, but not for the lack of access to even simple kitchen items like bowls, mugs or a bread knife. No fridge access. No AC. The bed and pillow however was surprisingly comfortable, but bring earplugs. Expect the check-in princess to take at least half an hour, the staff are not working fast.

Absolutely nothing to complain. For the price I find the facilities to be excellent value. 24-hour checking was convenient and smooth. The rooms were small and basic, but also comfortable. My biggest concern was noise in the building but it ended up being very quiet. Shower and bathrooms were also clean. Towels are provided and a sink is available in each room. Parking was plentiful and without much restrictions. Would stay here again.

I live there for a month now and I like everything, a lot of services, shared kitchen, shared bathroom but everything is so clean and calm. Washing machine available, very peaceful ambiance and a shared lounge to meet people and spend some time. Very strict when it comes to covid and distancing which allows protection to all people.

I visited this place once but I remembered my stay at Monash University Australia. The same feeling of halls. What an amazing time I had and missing those days now. Guys, please enjoy your time at the residence since you will miss these days in the future.

This place is in dire need for renovation and improvement! The insulation is lacking and the heating is central. The walls and doors are so paper thin that you can hear a month's breath. There is also no gender neutral bathrooms and the beds are the worst thing I have slept upon (including the floor and boulders). For the accommodation price, I would totally advise anyone to find something much better in the city.

The rooms are your bog standard dusty college dorms. No individual bathrooms and showers. Hotel is 3 or 4 separate buildings about 500m apart. However, it's the administration that really put a bad taste in my mouth.1) I booked online, and had to change my reservation ~4 days before I got there. When I arrived, they still thought I was booked during the original time, even though I called in the morning of to check if I can sign in2) I booked and paid online, but when I got there, the guy at the desk said I still needed to pay. I checked my accounts and it turned out they did indeed double charge me3) I tried to get a refund but the woman at the desk somehow managed to take that amount of money out of my card instead of putting it in!After that, they said that I had to wait for someone else (a supervisor? Another manager?) To finally refund me, so now they've charged me triple price for the room, and I have to miss part of a meeting to talk to someone about finally getting a refund.

Every year I visit my senior parents in Sainte Foy. Hotel Universel is quite expensive this year, so I stayed in a superior room at ULaval residences. The building is located strategically close to the complex Malls of Place de la Cite and Place Sainte Foy. The room has a kitchen, large sofa, large TV-quite impressive. I have asked for coffee minicups for the Nespresso-like machine of the room and I was told to go buy some. I did. And I used 3 minicups as I had requested. What do I do with the remaining seven of my package-my home coffee machine does not work with minicups. Nobody knows then the number of minicups in a room where guest stays for 7 days? There was pepper and salt for months, soap and shampoo, for a week, but not coffee minicups. Was it impossible for Floriane to provide more? Does she have a reliable management system for items in a superior room? Otherwise...Quebec city is always beautiful despite renovations and current cost to see the Chutes de Montmorency or Mosaicultures if you are outside of the province and young enough to visit the gardens.

If you are a woman, get a room with a private bathroom. We are staying here for 4 nights and 3 days in a row, men were using the shared bathroom for women. We feel unsafe and uncomfortable that men are constantly entering the women’s shared bathroom. We called reception but they didnt really do much.
