Good place to go with the family for some dinner. Wouldn't use it as a local pub though. Very good carvery option as well.

Arrived at 6pm fairly busy, we were able o get seated immediately and then went to the bar to place order. Very friendly and quick order by 18:13. When the started arrived it took over 30 mins for them all. At 19:20 still waiting for food only when I approached staff was I told that they had to put more staff in the kitchen. Would have been nice to have been informed this whilst sat waiting. Then as I turned to go back to me table it aspired that most tables had also waited over an hour. We could not make sense of this and now had a restaurant full of unhappy adults and very hungry children. Very unlikely to return and staff had not clue how to handle all the complaints coming their way.

We arrived late and didn't get a chance to have an evening meal. We had booked our breakfast online when we booked accomodation and this saved a few pounds. Breakfast was really nice and Stevie, Manager, could not have been more helpful. Good value for money. We were given a disabled room on the ground floor(even though we weren't disabled) which was well heated and easily controlled. If I was disabled I would have found the light to the toilet awkward as it was situated at the closing edge of the door and not the opening edge meaning I had to go past the door; switch the light on; go back past the door; and enter the bathroom. Then the same in reverse. No toilet roll holder either and the toilet rolls were on the cistern. Again awkward for someone disabled.

We had 8 people in our party. One of which was gluten free the rest of the party had the carvery. We had to wait a while for our meal order to be be taken.We all found the carvery to be a little under par from what we are used to receiving from the sweet chestnut.The beef was very tough and chewy, the Yorkshire pudding was stodgy and looked undercooked and the roast potatoes tasted as though they were reheated from the previous day.The waitress was not very helpful asking us to pass the plates down to her when we finished our meal to save her walking".Overall it wasn't our best experience."

I am here a lot for meals and the service is great. We are always treated politely and accommodated with my walker or needing certain seats.The staff don't try and rush you out after you're finished eating, the meals are lovely and there's a good selection for vegetarians including the carvery. I would highly recommend coming here for a meal.Our server today was Melissa and she was lovely

We came here for part of my grandmas birthday today. Me and my grandmother had the scampi and chips which was really good. It was hot and a good portion size. My other family members had the wings, ribs and the philly cheese steak which they really enjoyed and demolished. The service was good too, the person that served us was lovely and welcoming. Along with the gentleman that showed us to our seats, he was lovely too and made sure to check up on us to make sure everything was okay. Totally recommend coming here if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful and laidback. Good value for money.

An enjoyable meal, was good value and tasted lovely. Staff very attentive. Plenty of parking available on site. Toilets were spotless and the place had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Didn't have to wait very long either for our meals. The carvery was amazing.

Nice place, we did stay in the hotel which is next building, breakfast was nice, kids had space to play, they had toy machines where you will get toy for sure, so kids were super happy.

The food was good and reasonably priced. Our server was excellent, didn’t get her name but she was pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was clean, and cool inside on a very hot day. Perfect lunch for husband’s birthday.

Arrived just as carvery was being set up. Shown to a table which we asked to change, no one else about no problem. Decided on the carvery. Very pleasant young man carving that day. Food all hot and tasty. Waitress asked us if all was well, offered us the dessert menu. No great rush for us to finish up and leave. We could chat and hear each other, very pleasant surroundings.
