Kaslo river trail

I walked this trail twice one day during a visit to Kaslo. The first time I my own and later the same day I walked it in the opposite direction with my wife. For being so close town it is a really wonderful trailto walk if you have an hour or so. I was on the lookout for opportunities for some nature photos and found plenty to point my camera at. Even in October there are some flowers still in bloom. Several bird varieties and some squirrels to be seen. The river itself is quite lovely. There are several amusing concrete sculptures on the upper end of the trail which were quite unexpected and added to the walk through the forest. The two bridges are in themselves quite remarkable and worth a visit. I applaud the efforts of the local supporters and volunteers he erected them.

This trail is stunning! It an be accessed from different locations. we started at lower Kalso and ended up at upper Kaslo. The river is absolutely beautiful. The bridges, that were built with community support, are incredible. The trail itself was not difficult and people with less ability can stick to less strenuous sections. This is a great trail to explore with kids. Look for the gnome!!

A nice and easy trail around the creek. Good views. Lots of shade and the flowing water keeps the hikers cool!We saw a black wolf on our way.

One of best hikes in the area. Easy, shaded, nice surprise statues along the way. Pleasant walk through the forest.

A beautiful trail, just steps away from town! Well traveled, but not too busy. Plenty of amazing views of the river, and a few places to stop and sit for a minute. Curious about the old wreck of a car we spotted!

Pleasant easy to moderate hike. The two bridges spanning the river are gorgeous. There is the option to extend your hike by adding an additional loop. One of the few trails that you can do without skis or snowshoes in winter. Addition of sculptures along the trail is a bonus.

We absolutely loved this trail! Especially the part with all the sculptures! Great to do on a hot summer day as you’ll be in the trees for the most part!
