The staff are so nice! The selection is amazing for resource books and cute Dal merch. I mean the prices are outrageous and you can save so much money on amazon but it is a university bookstore so what can you expect? It sucks that you have to leave bags outside the store, so it's best not to bring valuables. They also do not offer plastic bags but their reusable ones are only $1 and are pretty good quality.

It's a student bookstore, the convenience factor and the ability to place online orders that can be picked up make it 4/5.The 1 point is lost to the prices, while some items such as bedding are definitely worth picking up here as student living on campus, the pens being charged for 3.50$ each feels a bit much if you need to pickup pens I recommend either buying off of Amazon or if you have to, buy the packs of 2 or 3 available near the whiteboard markers section.Staff were really friendly and nice and helped me navigate an issue I've had with a purchase and it got resolved really quickly. One thing to keep in mind is that on some weekends paying in cash isn't possible so have the dalcard or some other form of card payment available!

The selection of clothing, mugs, etc. is fairly standard for a university bookstore. The prices are pretty good, compared to other schools I've attended or visited, and there are usually a few good bundle deals. Nice selection of stationery and other supplies if you're on campus and in a pinch.

Updated Review:It’s a convenient place to pick up basic school supply items if you’re in a pinch for time. They carry university apparel and some pretty sturdy clipboards that I love. They have renovated the store and it looks much better.During peak rush hour, they require you leave your bag outside. In my previous review I reduced my rating because there lacked security for your items. However, I commend them for adjusting to student needs and implementing a bag check-in place this year. Now, your belongings will remain safe while you shop. The staff are friendly and willing to help. I was looking for a study guide to one of my required textbooks, and the manager was willing to source and bring it in for me.As other reviewers have mentioned, the lines are long during peak rush hours, but that is to be expected. They move through the lines very quickly and efficiently.Overall, in the last year they have made many changes and improvements that have improved the customer experience. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Way more than a bookstore! Lots of Dalhousie branded merchandise on items you wouldn't expect but also general gift merch for the everyday person. You'll be surprised by its size!

Always a bad experience whenever I visit this place. I am not sure if my experience is isolated but I have never had a good experience whenever I visit. I cannot find the books I need and when I do order the books online (from the book store) they take forever to find them.If they (the staff) work there and find it that hard to find these books. How do they expect students to navigate their store and find them? Secondly, why aren’t they open on the first weekend of school being reopened? Students having their books for classes seem not to be a priority. I should have ordered from Amazon. Lesson learnt! Thanks.
