This club used to be a fun safe space for LGBTQ+ people until they decided to sell out and take away one of very few gay venues in this city. Not only did the queer owners betray their own community, the amount of violence i’ve witnessed here while staff sit back and do nothing to stop it is appalling. My friend and I both had our drinks spiked one night, luckily I was not affected as much as my friend and was able to take care of her because the club manager kicked us out and left us outside without properly making sure she was ok. That same club manager told me to stop telling other women standing outside the club to be carful with their drinks because I was “scaring away potential customers.” Awful music, awful crowd, rude staff (except for a few bartenders, specifically the ones who’ve been working there pre-transition to straight club).re: management’s response: They can claim to be an inclusive space all they want with the same auto generated response but the amount of homophobia and especially transphobia myself and others have seen here proves that this space is only safe for the cis het majority. I too have witnessed people being told and have been told myself to use the “right bathroom.” Many trans and gender non conforming friends of mine have stopped coming here because of the hostile environment paparazzi has become. Really sucks to see one of the very very few safe spaces in Victoria become somewhere where our community no longer feels safe.

Had a really fun night last weekend, bartender named Paolo was super nice and provided excellent customer service, loved the high voltage drink he made!

As it was my first time. A little rude bartenders, no was at bar ordering had to wait a bit to actually get service (even looked at me; my first thought was first time here maybe they just don’t know me, second thought was maybe it’s because I am indigenous.) Front lady was very very nice thought who ran the coat check out. Other then that I don’t think I’ll ever go alone if I do it’s with a friend.

Sadly this place has come under a rebrand and is not a safe 2SLGBTQIA+ space anymore. The staff are rude, people are throwing glasses in the bathroom stalls with staff even in there laughing at the broken glass, security/staff will yell at you for using 'the wrong bathroom', not throwing your glass over the stall. Ordered 3 white claws over the course of a few hours, each time was told a different price. Place has A/C but they do not turn it on often, the mirrors were dripping with condensation.while the management has responded to this review, the washrooms are not gender neutral as I was going in alone (not with a group) and was told to leave and use the other washroom by security and other 'fem presenting guests' at the facility.

Was visiting victoria for the long weekend, went to drag bingo here on the 18th of Feb. Electra Socket was vile. Making n word jokes and pronoun jokes, in a room that is supposed to be open and accepting lol Betsy Bottom Dollar was fun and I actually felt bad for her stuck up there with Electra… club is extremely dated and could do with a lick of paint. music also dated and boring. shame since it’s the only gay club setting.

Good music fun vibes. Closed my eyes for a few minutes enjoying music and am told I must stand up and dance around or leave the establishment. I appreciate not having people sleeping in the bars or clubs, however when im watching you walk to me and tell me I need to move around when tickets were already paid for to be in the establishment, its rude and a waste of yime and momey paying for your events. If im ever out for drinking know not to come here ever again.

i highly enjoy this club but am severely disappointed that it’s no longer specifically an lgbtq club… i guess management would rather have a packed club than a safe space for queer people. if the rebrand was because of poor traffic may i suggest a better DJ :) really :) get some new music :) people are actually sick of top 40 and throwbacks (it’s not a throwback if you play it every night). You guys could have hired a queer DJ to play music by queer artists for queer people and hired queer staff and advertised towards queer people because trust me there’s enough of us to fill the club too but now it’s just like every other boring club and i’d rather go to wicket hall for that experience:(

Website says it opens at 8pm. I came at 8:20pm with a couple friends to have a few drinks and play pool and the doors were locked. I called and they told me yeah

The way my friends and I used to go here all the time last summer because it was the only gay club in Victoria and we’ve had to watch as it has become more and more catered to straight people. The manager and owner obviously don’t care anymore about protecting the safety of gay people, considering the amount of hate crimes I’ve witnessed and experience since the straightmageton. Moreover, it is even more disheartening seeing other gay people leaving reviews talking about this issue are only getting the same autogenerated reply. Sad and disappointing.
