I recently ordered take out for the first time here. It was fantastic! Fish was very nice and lightly battered, not greasy at all. We swapped our fries for sweet potato and it was delicious. I’ll be sure to try dine in next time. We had the haddock.

The best fish and chips in Hamilton, and potentially the GTA. Hutches is also very good, but feels pretty lifeless. Parkdale always has the same staff every time and great food. Always recommend.

My first time at this restaurant and I was pleased with just about everything! My son recommends this place highly and was excited, because today, September 1, is when they start serving chowder. Naturally, my son ordered the chowder and it was the best clam chowder I have ever had in Canada! The fish was lightly battered and moist. I just wish it was a little crispier but I know how tricky cooking fish can be. You overcook it and you come up with dry and rubbery result. Their fries were absolutely a must try! Thick with a great bite. I may be wrong, but they seemed freshly-cut and prepared in house. Their home-made tartar sauce was a nice addition to the fish. The place was clean and the lady that waited on us was very pleasant, and so was the chef who brought us part of our meal. Overall, my first experience was great and this will definitely be a place worth going back for. Go get some chowder while in season–September 1 to April, so I've been told! This joint has a real chef in the building!

Had a lunch date with my wife, we sat in and ate. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved every bite. The haddock was delicious and battered to perfection, The fries were hot and crispy. Mushy peas were on point. Would highly recommend.

Very classic fish and chip atmosphere. Pictured is the catch of the day with poutine and coleslaw. Service was stellar. As someone that isn't a big fan of battered fish it was surprisingly good and that perfectly crispy batter was amazing. As a huge poutine fan I was very satisfied with quality of fries and cheese curd, the only downside was the gravy which was a tad too bland and salty for my taste. The coleslaw was honestly my favorite part of the meal it brought the fish together and blended well with the gravy. Would definitely visit again and try a signature dish.

We went in for an early dinner. Friendly, welcoming staff. Food nice and hot. The fish was awesome and the batter was light and crispy. Awesome!!!

These are the best Fish & Chips in Hamilton and with the best service to match! The fish is always perfectly cooked with the perfect crisp to the batter. The fries are always a generous serving and you must get their awesome gravy and I also highly recommend their onion rings too. The coleslaw is rich and creamy perfection. As for their service they remember your faces, where you like to sit and treat you like family! A must visit for any fish and chip lover!

A Hamilton fish and chips landmark business. I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed. Some reviewers have claimed the fish is bland. It isn't. They don't put much salt on their food because they leave it up to you to decide how much you want. Service was friendly, couteous, and fast. Coleslaw was home made and fresh, and so was the tartar sauce.

It’s hard to find good fish and chips so I keep looking! This is a no frills restaurant offering take out or eat in. I chose to get take out and saw in store that they had lots of specials. The menu has lots of options!The staff were very friendly and I got my order quickly. I ordered the haddock n chips and I also bought the whitefish and chips.It took about 20 min to get home and the haddock fish was not as Crispy but that’s understandable. The whitefish was still crispy (big piece). Chips were amazing, slightly reminding me of Swiss chalet fries.
