YARMAND

I have used these guys three times to service and maintenance a snowblower and lawnmower when I had problems (of my own making). To keep this short I will point out the three things why I keep going back1) - trust - I don’t feel like they are trying to price gouge. They agree on an initial amount and call / explain any deviation and that only happened once2) -pride - in their work. Above and beyond! Because the lawnmower is considerably older, one of the twist handles (for folding the handle bar) was “functional”, even though it was half broken and they replaced it without charge, did something similar for snowblower. Also appreciated they had a service to pickup the snow blower, because no way could I have transported it!3) -attention to detail-. Added stabilizer because it was end of season, and gave a few storage tipsHighly recommend these guys for any small engine work.

Had a very good experience. Both Ricky and Farid are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Purchased a snow blower, lawn mower and a chain saw. They also have a lot of parts and saw people coming in for parts,service and tune ups during my visits, which i am sure i will do as well in the future. If you need outdoor machines it is a great place to go to.

I brought my Stihl chainsaw in for a checkup because it wasn't starting. I figured it was the ignition coil and that they could replace that at a reasonable cost. I said that I had already replaced the spark plug. I made a point of cleaning the saw before I brought it in. It almost looked like a new saw.After about three weeks I got a call saying it would be more than $175 to fix the saw. I went to the store to see what they wanted and was told it would be $308 to fix my saw because it needed a new induction coil, fuel filter and spark plug. I decided to decline the repair because the cost to fix was more than the saw was probably worth. The saw was covered in oil and dirt when they gave it to me.I ordered an induction coil on Amazon for $29. It came with a new fuel filter and new spark plug. I changed the parts myself in under a hour after which the saw ran perfectly with no other changes or adjustments.I went back to the store to discuss why the cost of the repair would have been so much higher with them. I was told by the manager that the cost of the induction coil they would have used would have been $145 and that they don't use parts from Amazon. I said that if I had been told that the cost of the parts they use were going to be so much more expense I never would have left my saw with them for repair. He said that's the way they run their business and they have to make money.While I was there someone else was dropping off his Stihl saw for repair. I'm sure he was not being told that they only use very expensive OEM parts. In about 3 weeks this poor guy is going to be stunned at the cost of repairing his saw if it happens to need any of the expensive parts they use.If you plan to drop off anything for service at Yarmand be aware that they are setting you up for what could be a very expensive repair. Ask for a list of the prices of parts that may need to be changed before you agree to their basic tune up.I can't be sure but I suspect that most of the time they do end up using low cost after market parts and resell them at a much higher price plus labour to install.

Ordered two parts for my chainsaw. Pull cord assembly and clutch assembly. Instead of a clutch assembly, a brake was ordered. Not sure how that mistake gets made. Told it'll be a week, then emailed and told it'll be a month. The pull cord assembly was for a different model as well. It fits, but now the specs on the side are wrong (46/20 vs actually being a 42/18 saw).On a related note, it would be nice if individual parts could be ordered. Spent $60 for two assemblies when I only needed a spring and a sprocket.The staff were nice though and did what they could to fix the mistake.

usually very good but not lately.Ordered an item to be delivered in 5 to 10 days but I needed it asap. Came back out of stock and not for 6 weeks with no optionto cancel. had to phone to cancel and the lady was great and cancelled the order. Also shipping has become a very expensive item which would make Yarmand a last ditch purchase. So sad.

First time customer at Yarmand. Purchased a Stihl chainsaw and case from them. They were great. Customer service was fantastic and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fast end efficient. Will definitely return as a customer.

Extremely happy with service. Ended up having same day delivery - which was unexpected but very convenient. Also very happy with new Ariens snow blower. Has been needed now in Ottawa more than once and am completely happy with it and its performance, Much stronger than my old snow blower! Great service and great snow blower!

Excellent sales and service. I needed a pair of auger drive belts for my Cub Cadet snowblower and while others advertised 'equivalent' belts, the better buy, for a very good price, were genuine replacement belts from Yarmand. You can be sure of the quality and the proper fit.

When trying to set up a purchasing account for my business I was a little disappointed in the way my inquiry seemed shrugged off and dismissed. I have since dealt with this company several times and they have been friendly, helpful, and great to deal with. They seem to get product shipped out quickly, although shippers seem to take their time on occasion which is no fault of Yarmand. The only other issue that I have encountered is that it can be difficult to get through to someone on the phones to verify stock before placing an order. I would continue to do business with these folks without question.Keep up the good work!
