American Airlines

Do not let a supervisor from American Airlines tell you that you cannot get on a plane with an expired passport. This is incorrect information. You go to the airport to check in they call customs and if you are a US citizen out of the country with an expired passport in hand they OK you getting on the flight. American will tell you differently if you call. Shame on you American for your supervisors not knowing or giving out false info. Several others were in the same situation. It is not unusual. Our agent on the phone said we had to drive 1000 miles over the border to get a different flight to our destination. Lots of worry for nothing. In Canada the consulate can also give you a temporary one for 3 mo’s. Just takes a few days to get that. Only fly Southwest when possible.

Never again. Got to Calgary 2 hours early and the security line was 2 hours. They knew we were there and coming through but couldn’t hold the plane for 10 minutes. We even checked our bags 2 hours prior to the flight. Meanwhile Alaska Airlines, at the next gate over, held their door and plane for an extra 20 minutes to make sure their passengers could board. AA has zero customer service and you are off of my list.

Very very helpful and supportive after my delay with immigration. They were able to rebook and arrange my international flight back home to the US from Canada quickly. Iv informed my family and we will continue to fly american airlines whenever we can.

Absolute disaster of an airline. Sat for a 3 1/2 hour delay to only get on the plane and have to wait another 30 min for paperwork. 4 hour delay!!! Missed two connections in Dallas and looking like I might miss a third one. Never flying with them again.

Extremely Rude and Incompetent staff working at the desk. Missed my connection at Dallas thanks to the clerk.
