Mont Mégantic Observatory
An amazing view and a very informative and thorough tour of the observatory. Will need to make a journey back to observe the stars from the observatory’s vantage point some day soon.

Mont Mégantic Observatory
Megantic is a great place to trek and view the panoramic while taking your car on the top. However, you Will need to register for either of them online form Sepaq website, before visiting. The star gazing at night is a whole different category in registration. We did not knew about the registration and went directly to the point and we were not allowed to enter after sunset. So make sure to register your visit online well in advance. Booking time for the observatory is almost more then 2 week advance.

Well, the building was close but the guide was helpful and there were a couple of great spot to look at the surrounding area.

Highly engaging and educational visit. The Astrolab has multiple areas to discover all led by knowledgeable guides. Unless you manage to visit during one of the astronomy festival days (where you can actually use the main observatory personally!), I highly recommended is the day" activity as it includes a visit to the main observatory. The "night" standard activity includes observation but at the astrolab lower level."

Beauitful observatory at the peak of Mount Magnetic. The view from there was absolutely breathtaking. A guided tour was included in the tickets with our visit at the AstroLab at the bottom of the mount. The tour lasted for around 45 minutes. We were able to learn about it's history and management, while still seeing the impressive telescope and all the exploits researchers have discovered with it. The guide was friendly and knew a lot about the observatory which made it a lot more enjoyable. A minor problem we encountered was the language barrier once again, everything was in French.

Absolutely breath taking views.You can drive right to the top or you can hike from the bottom.We went for the day and chose to hike it.If you're not in shape I suggest you drive.They're 3 levels of hikes you can do.Each one harder than the next.Entry is not free.At the base of the hill you pay entry at the visitor center.Once at the top you can see as far as the eye can see.Night time reservations for star gazing are a must.Reserve months in advance or you'll be disappointed at how quickly it fills up.
