This spot was recommended and is really the only place in town so we tried it! Made reservations I’m advance which was good as it isn’t very big. Menu options were explained and were planned with taste and local produce in mind. We both had the chicken meal which was very small but adequate and delicious. I asked for gf options and this choice fit that as well. Servers were friendly and helpful. We started with the fish soup and ended with a chocolate and partridge berry tartine, which was tasty but for the price, I should have skipped it. Location makes for high costs.

Well, that isn’t what I expected at all for the tip of Newfoundland.Amazing.This is a premium dining experience at lands end.Started with the moose dumplings - fantastic.My wife had the lobster ravioli - bursting with flavour.Moved to the Duck confit and the seared cod. The cod was light and tasty and the pairing of the duck with the turnip gratin was excellent.We finished dinner with a shared slice of rum cake in a molasses, screech and butter and a dollop of whip cream to finish the culinary delight.The view from the restaurant overlooks the ocean and two small ice bergs floated patiently off the coast.If you are in the area, don’t miss the chance to enjoy this out of the way gem!

Had lunch here during a trip to the National Park. The location is just past the entrance near the giant Viking statue. The lunch menu is limited but had crab which was immediately ordered! We also had shrimp and smoked meat on panini bread. For dessert it was blue berry screeched (rum) figgy duff. All excellent and reasonably priced for such a remote locale. The entrees came with fresh local salad. I would go back for seconds.

What a spectacular location, fantastic, friendly staff and DELICIOUS food. Highly recommend eating here and trying all the special items! Go all out!Photos: Vineland Martini (iceberg ice!), Halibut & Shrimp soup, FRESH local lobster and Lemon Citrus cake (so light and fluffy).

Friendly staff and great (and fresh!) Seafood! We came here for the lunch bistro so we did not get to try out the evening fancier dinner, but we have a great time talking to the staff and enjoying a nice lunch before heading to the nearby Norse historical site

Wonderful experience, top notch food! Such an unassuming place, you wouldn't know from driving by it was one of Newfoundland's best restaurants.Service was friendly and efficient, without a hint of pretentiousness you'd often see in a top restaurant. Windows overlook the ocean, decor is eclectic with Newfoundland themed art on the walls some of which you can purchase.Not even a slight quibble about any of the dishes. We tried the kale Caesar with smoked Char, Moose dumplings, and Fish soup for appies, and for mains pan fried Cod, Halibut, and Crab legs. All were....perfect. Dessert was Figgy Duff, chocolate mousse, and Partridgeberry pie.Sunset over the water was a nice way to send us on our way.

We had a delicious evening meal at the Norseman. We started with beautiful lobster house ravioli. My halibut was fresh and delicious marinaded in lemon zest and topped with nettle pesto accompanied by beautifully a lightly roasted beet, turnip, zucchini medley. My kids enjoyed their duck confit and roasted chicken. Service was warm and the cove view made our evening perfect followed by a relaxed sunset walk along low tide rocks to a sea cave. Thanks for a memorable evening.

We had an excellent meal along with attentive service, atmosphere was inhanced with the view of the cove and music selection played. Expect to pay more here but the chef delivers.
