CIBC Branch with ATM

Super long. Lines. Only 1 teller open out of 5. Before the excuse was COVID protocol but now it's done but still the same issue.The issue is not COVID issue, its willingness for leadership to hire more people.

When I had to see a teller I simply went onto Google Maps and looked up when it was going to be busy. I took into consideration the time of day, and I figured since there was some nasty comments about wait times, I went prepared to wait. And guess what? The line was long but it was 10/11AM and I only waited for 25 minutes. Patiently. I give CIBC 4 stars because they couldn’t exactly fix my problem but they were nice about it.

I went to this location after a major snowstorm. The teammate that assisted me was so patient and kind. The following week I moved my day to day banking from TD to CIBC.

Waited in a ridiculous line for over 35 minutes. I just want to set up an account to monitor my loan online. The 1-800# said I had to go in and show my id to get a card to create a online account.The teller didn’t know how to do that so he wanted to make me an appointment at another branch to find someone to help me. The actual branch manager sat in a corner and refused to assist.I have been here now for over an hour still waiting for some competent person to assist.What does the branch manager do if they can’t do a simple task. This is the most inefficient incompetent place I have ever been. The teller was a nice man that is why I gave the bank at least two stars. Stay away from CIBC go to a real bank! Other patrons all leaving frustrated and unsatisfied as well.

Always a wait doesn’t matter what day or time. Other two Ajax locations nearby do not have tellers so you got no choice to come here. Do not come here and waste your time.

The amount of time you expect your clients to stand in line is unacceptable. You have plenty of staff here to add another teller. You told one all was good and not needed. I value my time. Definitely looking into changing banks for my mother.

Kudos to Pritesh Ludhwani! I wasn't able to say thank you as he was busy with another customer for helping me understand some complications about my account, but I could see how dedicated he is to his work. I may not had settle what I came for but I could see that CIBC and their team are doing their best to help people grow financially in a very confidential way.Edit:The issues are now cleared and they solved it after carefully investigating right away.

I called the customer service line to fix my card issue, waited half an hour on line then they suggested this can only be fixed in the bank, I went to the bank during my lunch break, I was in between my meetings and had a sick child, when I got my turn with the teller, he asked for my phone, called the customer service line again from my phone and told me to wait somewhere else till I get a hold of the customer service line since his cannot hold the line for me. I was surprised that why they do not have a direct line to their own customer service, why he cannot call from the bank line, and why my time has no value, I waited another 30 minutes with my crying kid and finally got the job done. Wonder the CS agent did not tell me that I have to call from my phone again and the teller and she needed to chat through my personal cell.

CIBC is the worst bank . I came at 4 :00 pm and this time should be the busiest time. There is only one teller. Waiting for 1hour and half. We asked for extra help to make the line move on faster but no body care .I don't know why they are open .they should close it if they can't help people

This bank is constantly a 20min or longer if u come at 4pm. Ive only ever seen angry customers
