The Grainry

The Grainry is one of my favourite places to pick up bulk food items at Granville Island. The staff is super helpful. You can buy most types of grains, seeds, nuts, spices, etc. here, especially some that are harder to find at supermarkets. Pre-pandemic, it was great since I could bring all of my own bags to fill and have close to zero waste. Now with the pandemic, the staff have been as accommodating as possible to fill orders (in their bags) as you list off items from your shopping list. This place is run by a family with more than one generation serving their customers. They are also great at making recommendations and answering questions.

Awesome little hidden gem in Granville Island. Unlike most places, not ever priced and they have so many products that are impossible to find anywhere else. I go nowhere else when I am looking to spice up my recipes!

Awesome spot for spice shopping. Aside from this and the sausage shop, I didn’t find much to interest me at Granville Island but those two totally made it worthwhile! Other reviews are right, really unique hard to find spices here

this is a family business with an extremely kind and helpful owner. the selection of spices here is amazing and you can tell the products are carefully sourced. it's also a good place to get delicious but healthy snacks. we got dried mango, strawberry yogurt covered pretzels, and seasoned almonds. so glad we stopped here for snacks to eat while walking around granville market.
