Nessie's Electrolysis Clinic

I’m not one to usually write reviews but I thought it was important that the owner and staff understand the importance of a great client experience and how to keep clients. My experience last night was not an example of that. I have been consistently going to Nessies for electrolysis for 2 years now. I have seen 3 different technicians and after 2 years, although I have a seen a reduction in hair growth, I am still requiring treatments. Last night I had a 30 min apt and due to unfortunate circumstances I was unable to make it. I texted with extreme apologies but was informed I would still be charged for the appointment. I pleaded my case , explaining I had a very challenging event take place and was told too bad, it was less than 24 hours. I would like to point out that in 2 years i have paid thousands of dollars and I have never cancelled an appointment , or even been late to an apt. I likely will still have another $1000 worth of treatment remaining and was even considering going for treatment on additional areas. I work in customer service and I am well aware of “policies”, but I also know the value of loyalty. I will pay my cancellation fee but will be taking my business elsewhere.

I’ve been to the clinic a few times now and every time I go I feel cared for and respected. I was pretty nervous about going at first, but the girls make me feel so comfortable and ‘normal’. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone, they truly do an amazing job.

Great service! They are all so wonderful, gentle and kind. Plus they also walk you through the procedure and give good advice for aftercare. It is always a great time whenever I get my treatments done at Nessie's Clinic!

Nessie's is the best!! Janessa is extremely professional, knowledgable, and kind. She explained everything thoroughly and put me right at ease! And what amazing results!! Couldn't be happier! STRONGLY recommend!!

Want to preface this by saying that I did communicate with the owner to try to resolve issues with booking // experience etc., but nothing ever came to fruition. Similar to a previous reviewer, I was a consistent client committed to the process. My concerns grew out of the lack of availability, as well as the limited experience of techs. They were super personable, the overall experience wasn't great. After visiting another clinic, I was disappointed to learn that the pain and bruising I had experienced previously were not common and that it was likely due to their lack of experience. I've moved my business to another Calgary clinic run by an individual who previously worked in a province that was regulated and I was impressed to learn that she still follows those standards here, even though it's not required. The investment is similar ($103 incl tax per hour) However, the experience is unparalleled. I've never bruised and I hardly feel the procedure. She also does proper skin care, including hydration and aftercare.
