Jess Haliday was our agent and she was amazing. She was honest and had lots of suggestions on how best to present our home for showings. She had open houses, advertised our home in the bigger markets as well as locally to maximize our visibility.We sold our home for a price we were happy with in a fairly short time.We would definitely recommend Jess and Re/Max Twin City. After deciding we do not want to do business with the Vansickle’s, they refuse to let us out of our contract.Our neighbor listed their house right after ours and their listing blew ours out of the water, stunning video, areal view of the house/neighborhood and a scheduled open house. It was beyond embarrassing; not to mention it was a relative who had just showed us up.We asked for a video, got a 3D walk through, even though I said “I hate those”.We asked for a open house, they laughed at us and never mentioned it again.Our MLS listing photos and description were not reviewed with us.Pictures were subpar; example cabinet door was open in one, dog toy and bed in anotherMissed key photo opportunities; corner lot, areal view, rear public green space and professional landscaping.The description had many spelling mistakes, listed we have surround sound, when we do not and missed key selling features, like irrigation, professional landscaping, corner lot, and hot tub.As soon as the other listing went live, we were so embarrassed. Yes they offered to re book photos, and take a video, but we were days behind, when we should have been weeks ahead. I can’t describe how embarrassing it was.They have now had their lawyer request $36,000 in compensation to cancel our contract; our house has not sold, and was only on the market for 10 days.We received one offer, we were only told the price and not to bother countering. We found out a month later, it excluded our hotub, which was definitely a factor to our decision. They knew this as we debated about if we should include it in the listing in front of them; we eventually decided to include it.We do not wish to work with these people and they refuse to end our contract without financial compensation.
