Good show and talent however the Security Guards were overly aggressive with everyone! I have gone to concerts for years and have never seen this type of aggressive behavior! Rockfest needs to hire mature security guards not 20 year Olds on power trips!

Zero Stars! Once upon a time, the Edmonton Rock Fest played out at the Hawrelak Park Amphitheatre! Then it was a 5 star event! Then Covid hit us all. And now for some strange reason, the Rock Fest plays at a nondescript abandoned horse racing track. No shade... No character... and just a HUGE money grab! Back in the day (a mere three years ago), they'd fill Hawrelak Amphitheatre with weekend pass holders who paid LESS than what a one night ticket cost at the Northlands Track! Now at Northlands Track, you pay a minimum of $90 per night (General Admission) or $140 for the privilege of sitting at a table??? OH!!! and did I mention the cost of a Beer? or a glass of wine? or one of the overpriced meals (not allowed to bring your own food in) sold by one of the food truck vendors. The entire event is nothing more than a huge 'Money Grab'. More people, More Money! The New operators have made a poor decision to gouge the consumer, AND they chose the same weekend as the far superior Blues Festival! Who does that? The Rock Fest used to run on its own weekend. Now when I am faced to make a decision in the future... Blues Fest is a shoe in! Oh yes, much of the proceeds go to the Centre for Arts and Music... but come on! Far to expensive for a bunch of aging old Canadian Rockers! I DO NOT recommend the Edmonton Rock Festival, and I will never go back to that venue again!

Rockfest 2019 - The line up this year was not good. I’ve sat through many outdoor concert and endures rain, wind and mosquitoes but when the line up was this low energy it is difficult to dedicate a full evening. Time to revisit your line up and invest in some talent.
